Summary: Responsible for the oversight and coordination of CT personnel and students to ensure quality patient care for Emergency Department patients, inpatients and outpatients in area of specialty. Coordinate the activities and personnel within the department daily. 2. Performs as a CT Technologist within their specialty area. Summary: This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. The position reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made. Responsibilities And Duties: 60% Performs various ultrasound examinations. Subjectively interprets information based on judgmental decisions by Ultrasonographers, requiring in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology. Maintains complete knowledge of wave form physics, i.e., , time gain compensation curves, attenuation factors, etc. , required to set equipment variable properly for appropriate imaging of specific anatomy. Assists Radiologists with performance of invasive procedures. 10% Independently evaluates normal vs. abnormal test results in correlation with patient history, previous examinations, lab results, etc. 10% Independently gives preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians, surgeons, residents, etc. regarding any vascular ultrasound procedures as determined by site accreditation. 10% Teaches/educates imaging students, medical students and residents in basic scanning methods and instrumentation of ultrasound. 10% Maintains equipment and stocks supplies. Summary: The Lead Radiation Therapist is the supervisor over the Radiation Therapy team at Riverside Methodist Hospital Radiation Oncology. They are responsible for maintaining adequate staff levels and making sure all the LINAC machines are well staffed. They maintain and prepare the daily schedule and the call schedule for our team. They partner with the providers and the nursing team to deliver high quality care to our patients and are the connecting link between the Radiation Therapy team and the department manager. They are responsible for addressing the immediate concerns of the radiation therapy team and escalating them when appropriate. They maintain a high quality of care by reviewing charts and making sure all the required parameters and hard stops are in place. They participate in the Quality Review Meetings and address any quality concerns with the Radiation Therapy team. They are also involved in system meetings aimed to improve the quality of care at a system level. When not working on administrative duties, the Lead Radiation Therapist will also be involved in treatments at the LINAC or coordinate the patient appointments at the SIM CT, depending on their rotation assignment. Summary: This position operates imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator and radiation survey instruments. Responsibilities And Duties: 55% Performs scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician. 25% Performs image manipulation and quantitative studies. Archives patient studies on computer and quality control studies. 5% Receives, stores, and prepares radioactive and non-radioactive materials in preparation of patient doses. Assures availability of proper doses for patients. 5% Performs quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning; maintains quality control and wipe survey statistics. Assures all equipment is performing properly to obtain quality examinations. 5% Consults with physicians; shows images and/or computer patient studies to radiologist and/or cardiologist. Provides physicians with quality data for interpretation. 3% Administers diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceutical/ pharmaceuticals limited to those within the scope of practice, through various routes to patient, under the direction of a physician. 2% Demonstrates sensitivity to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication. Provides appropriate patient education, patient assessment, patient monitoring and overall patient care. Assists physician with intricate imaging procedures as needed. This position is eligible for shift and weekend differential and has a minimal call requirement for night shift coverage. The position prepares patient for testing (including thorough screening questioning), assists the radiologist during testing, operates the MRI equipment for a variety of procedures, maintains supply inventory in assigned rooms, and covers call duty, as assigned. Responsibilities And Duties: Operates MRI equipment, including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment. Uses equipment to properly adjust pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis. Demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Performs daily safety and quality control checks for the system. Sends images to PACS for interpretation. Transfers images to independent console for further manipulation. Reformats and performs post processing of images for radiologist interpretation. Mammographers are responsible for producing good quality exams in a timely manner while practicing good patient care and maintaining accurate patient records. The position assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards. This position is part-time (24 hours/week) at the Delaware Medical Campus. Responsibilities And Duties: 75% Conducts Mammograms; Escorts patient to the room, completes proper documentation, and explains procedure to patient prior to mammogram procedure. Takes images for interpretation. Verifies images are of good technical quality. 15% Assists radiologist with stereotactic biopsy and needle localizations to include: machine calibration, sterile field set-up, explaining procedure to patient, offering consolation and ensuring comfort to the patient during procedure. 10% Performs quality control and assurance practices. Schedules preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment and schedules necessary repairs. Assures all mammography manuals are kept up-to-date. Keeps accurate and current QC logs to document variances, investigates and corrects any abnormal QC occurrences.
