* II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Fluent use of NextGen EHR and EPM as it pertains to Special Testing, including finding testing orders, opening templates for testing and entering notes, verifying and modifying patient information, entering in patient charges, pulling up testing schedules, and accessing any information pertinent to patient visits.
* Verifies all patient information and performs test according to the physician's request following HEC protocol.
* Performs and publishes Humphrey visual fields; Optic nerve, Macula and Anterior chamber OCTs; Fundus photography, including optic nerve photos; Fluorescein and ICG Angiography on both Optos and Zeiss fundus cameras; Corneal Topography; IOL Master and immersion A-scan biometry; Slit lamp photography; Endothelial cell count measurements and external photography to our image management software. Ensures correct exams were published and viewable in exam rooms.
* Performs venipuncture for Fluorescein and ICG Angiography.
* Creates, edits, deletes, modifies, prints patient data in Axis, our image management software as needed.
* Completes IOL calculations in Holladay IOL Consultant software.
* Perform all testing related duties by themselves at a branch office and be able stay 1st late at the Cotswold office. Responsible for cleaning and closing all testing rooms, archiving all devices and downloading external photos.
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of all testing equipment as well as minor repairs and co-ordinates with manager if needed.
* Develops positive and effective relationships with patients and coworkers.
* Performs administrative tasks which include responding to inquiries in messaging and voice mail systems. Answers phone, takes messages and relays to appropriate individuals.
* Performs stocking and maintenance functions. Maintains physical environment of testing rooms. Cleans and stocks rooms daily and maintains appropriate supply per par levels. Assists with ordering medical/office supplies.
* Creates weekly schedules for the testing department at all 7 offices.
* Creates and maintains testing protocols for all devices and procedures.
* Implements and adjusts the new employee training program for the department.
* Ensures skill retention and growth in current employees with training as needed.
* Supervises the training of new employees at the branch offices.
* Supervises the training of new employees at the Cotswold office.
* Assistance in training doctors and technicians on new equipment.
* Maintains an organized inventory of clinical equipment and oversees scheduled upkeep on equipment for safety and accuracy.

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for assisting with management and operation of clinic. This position assumes full responsibility for the dialysis clinic in the absence of the Administrator.
Growth:
Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.

Work with Administrator to maintain chronological, thorough, and appropriate documentation in the patient record of all treatments, activities, and communication with the patient, physician, and other healthcare professionals.
Promote quality management program through education and involvement of staff and patients in outcomes as well as overall responsibility to achieve corporate goals for quality.
Assist with program's target goals for patient outcomes in accordance with quality patient care and Company goals.
Review all incident reports; make recommendations and take action relative to incidents as appropriate; report at monthly QAPI meeting as delegated by Administrator or Management.

Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services, Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care and pet health needs.

Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times. This includes encouraging hospital visits, welcoming clients and pets, ensuring that they are comfortable in the hospital, educating them about their pet‘s health, performing or preparing procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance, completing preparatory work for other procedures, and monitoring hospitalized or surgical pets.
Upon approval from supervising veterinarian, perform veterinary technician appointments. All appointments must be under the direction and supervision of veterinarian and in compliance with state law.
Assist incoming clients by completing the required documentation, entering all pet information and history in the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service.
Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian‘s instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures.
Act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian to ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian‘s productivity and communicate with the other associates to maintain the flow of patients.
Obtain relevant information and history from clients and maintain proper and complete medical charts.
Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
Assist with surgery as applicable.
Train and mentor new paraprofessional associates.
Quality check medical records, go home medications, regulatory documentations, hospital cleanliness, and timeliness of doctors seeing exam room patients.
Utilize technical skills to the fullest, within state practice acts regarding the duties of credentialed veterinary technicians. Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Assist Practice Manager in developing an efficient, productive hospital team that provides the highest quality care and service to the most pets and clients, following all Banfield protocols and practices, as well as all local, state and federal laws, focusing the team to achieve practice priorities while building our culture and brand.
Support Practice Manager in hospital labor management
May assist Practice Manager in the selection, training, and day-to-day supervision of the paraprofessional team
Assist Practice Manager in creating an environment where a team can deliver quality, efficient and effective veterinary care to pets.
Provide effective communication between associates, clients, hospital leadership and Central Team Support.
Ensure all hospital associates adhere to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.
Prepare whole team on cases scheduled for the day, assist with any transfers of cases from day before or external referrals to provide continuity of care, triage the treatment board.
Assist Practice Manager in identifying potential “bottlenecks” and formulating solutions to remove barriers in medical operations that would impede the doctors in providing world-class preventive care and client service.
Confer with field leadership and assist with client resolution decisions, invoice adjustments and client experience exceptions.
Address broken equipment issues and assist in inventory management.
Assist with management of finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures.

Your Role:
Conduct comprehensive eye exams using innovative technology, both onsite and through our patented hybrid platform.
Diagnose ocular conditions and create personalized treatment plans.
Educate patients on preventative eye care, including the importance of:
Regular annual eye exams
Sun protection for eye health
Proper contact lens care and wearing current prescription glasses
Maintain all necessary state licensure and malpractice insurance.

Glaucoma Surgeon - Take Over a Retiring Surgeon's Practice (Busy on Day 1!) Horizon Eye Care is seeking a fellowship-trained glaucoma physician to join 4 existing glaucoma physicians at our well-established eye care centers to take over for a retiring surgeon. Our offices have state-of-the-art equipment including HVF, Cirrus OCT, SLT, IOL Master, IVFA, photography and LASIK.
The ideal candidate will have a focus on excellent outcomes, sound clinical judgement, ethical decision-making, strong interpersonal and communication skills and motivation to contribute to the growth of our practice.
The position includes competitive compensation, partnership track, full benefit offering including a 401(k) retirement savings plan, $2,000 annual education allowance for the first two years, professional liability insurance and long-term disability insurance. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
