SUMMARY
The Buyer I shall be responsible for, but not limited to, purchasing supplies and materials including providing support for the Company's Purchasing Systems. Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Has knowledge of commonly-used supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
SCOPE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Buyer I shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
· Purchases and expedites all requested parts and supplies for vessels.
· Confirms delivery, receipt, and delivery of parts not distributed through a Company distribution location.
· Ensures all purchases processed through the purchasing department hold proper approval authority.
· Ensures standardized items are purchased.
· Assures purchasing system structure is maintained in accordance with Company specifications and/or account codes.
· As required, trains Company personnel on the Company's purchasing system process.
· Maintains company credit cards held by the Purchasing Department, including reconciliation as directed
· Updates consumable and equipment hierarchy in the Company's Purchasing and Maintenance System, as directed
· All other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Experience: 1 - 2 years of purchasing experience in the maritime industry, or in a commercial or industrial environment preferred.
· Skills:
o Fluency in written and spoken English. Bi-lingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is preferred.
o Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including “Windows” operating systems and Word word-processing.
o Advanced skills in Excel spreadsheet functions and internet use.
o Functional ability for use of office machines such as fax, phone, scanner and copier are expected.
o Ability to learn all Purchasing systems such as ABS NS-5.
o Ability to get along well with others.

JOB DESCRIPTION
HOURS OF WORK
Non-Standard Office Hours
While shift patterns may change for departmental coverage, standard coverage will require employees to complete 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (2-2-3 pattern), including nights (18:00-06:00), weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous coverage for 24-hour support.
SCOPE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and distribute comprehensive vessel reports, including vessel locations, current activities, and anticipated movements to ensure operational visibility and planning accuracy.
Follow established emergency protocols for incident intake and escalation, ensuring timely and appropriate response to operational disruptions, or safety concerns.
Utilize company computer systems to accurately record, manage, and distribute professional event reports and operational updates.
Adhere to company guidelines for all departmental activities.
Perform a wide range of general administrative duties, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, external partners, and service providers to maintain smooth operations.
Coordinate port arrangements for coastwise and international vessels, including scheduling arrivals and departures, managing agents, pilots, wharfage, regulatory authorities, bunkering, and related formalities
Dispatch and coordinate third party contractors (e.g., Cooks, Riggers, Crane Operators) to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Respond promptly to operational challenges, troubleshooting issues, and implement solutions to mitigate any delays or disruptions.
Facilitate transportation, including company vehicles, cabs, and other modes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize logistics processes.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and international standards, including customs and maritime requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge working in the maritime industry
Experience: Equivalent of five years' experience in marine logistics, dispatch, operations, port agent, or as a merchant mariner

Job Summary
Responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of wheels sets, brakes, brake pads, repairing suspension and pneumatic systems on rolling stock equipment and components in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines.
Essential Functions
Performs inspection, testing and maintenance in accordance with 49CFR regulations and Amtrak standards and guidelines
Troubleshoots equipment to determine corrective actions and causes of equipment failures
Repairs doors, windows, interior equipment, access panels, hand brakes, brake shoes, outside car body components, fire extinguishers, emergency tools and first aid kits
Uses a variety of test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot and repair components and circuits
Maintains proper care and use of materials, test equipment, machines and hand tools normally associated with assigned job
May perform welding and burning
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience in troubleshooting, repair, replacement and rebuilding of mechanic equipment and systems
Must successfully complete training and attain/retain certifications applicable to assigned job
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read mechanical drawings
Knowledge and skill in the use of electronic tools, equipment and the measurements necessary to meet established standards

Primary Duties
1. Installs, upgrades, tests, and calibrates Operational Technology instrumentation and control devices. Monitors, diagnoses, and troubleshoots field communications and equipment failures.

Interpret job work orders to perform required repairs; the focus is providing a complete, accurate, realistic, and timely repair to our customer.
Coordinate and complete repairs in an efficient manner and within assigned hours
Notify supervisor of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
Interact with crew members in a team environment, as well as with supervisor
Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean and comply with all WMS Environmental Health and Safety Policies

In 2019, T. Parker Host acquired United Bulk Terminals (UBT) on Mile 55 of the Mississippi River as one of the largest bulk terminals in the U.S. Gulf, specializing in coal and petcoke. This 1,200 acre property in Davant, Louisiana is capable of extensive loading, discharging and storage - with deep-water docks, fleeting capacity for 500 barges and over 40 pieces of heavy equipment to handle cargo loads.
Since the acquisition, HOST has made extensive improvements in systems and equipment, making the facility safer, more environmentally friendly, and more efficient to better serve our customers.
Position Summary: Responsible for safe navigation, and vessel & crew management, of push boats at United Bulk Terminals- Davant. Captains will coordinate and execute a rigorous daily schedule to support the facility, and customer needs as well as supervise daily, routine and emergency vessel maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of their tug
Serve as primary tug vessel operator, safely maneuvering tug and barge(s) throughout the UBT fleet
Direct deckhands in docking & undocking maneuvers
Maintain tug records including vessel logbook and HELM
Coordinate and conduct scheduled drills with tug, crew and port captain
Ensure vessels are always clean and well maintained
Ensure daily barge inspection/checklists are being conducted and completed in HELM
Prepare for and participate in USCG required internal and external audits
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of fleet of two (2) assists tugs
Coordinate between boat and shore side staff to ensure safe operation of barge movements in respect to daily schedule, weather, shore side-line handling, assist tug operation, and barge maintenance.
Responsible for deck side consumable and spare part requests.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:
Minimum license: 200 Ton Master, inland, with towing and radar endorsement. (100 Tons with towing endorsement considered on a case-by-case basis)
Valid TWIC
Valid US Driver's License
Previous experience as Master of a twin-screw tug engaged in fleet work
Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively/efficiently with crew members, shore staff, customer, and line handlers via VHF, email, and/or mobile phone
Ability to get along with crew members in confined quarters for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to direct, evaluate, and correct performance of subordinates
Ability to adapt to a variety of schedules and hours
Ability to work around the clock shifts and holidays and weekend.
Willingness and ability to be flexible and creative
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PDFs, HELM, and use of associated computer, printer/scanner, and work mobile phone.
Physical Requirements:
