Through years of work experience and professional education in the subfield, and the gritty work of daily human interaction with all of its flaws and foibles where empathy and kindness conquer all.

How would you improve Hospice East Bay's culture?

Become more transparent about goals and plans and decelopments instead of hiding behind the curtain like the wizard of Oz. Develop a sense of the world beyond the boardroom and the country club /golf course and empathize with working class people. Pay your taxes.

The fact that they all seem to be transient leaving hope for better talent to emerge.

What brings you the most joy at Hospice East Bay?

The actual work and contact with a broad array of people from all parts of society, each bringing their strengths and flaws in glorious detail as they are challenged to new limits and need allies in the form of home hospice aides , doctors and nurses, social work and spiritual care et. to help them navigate the difficult journey through the “valley of darkness” , death, grief, defeat, small triumphs- overcoming things they never anticipated or concieved

For the region it has come to reflect the changing culture and demographics of the region and thst is a good thing. Need more multilingual people who speak Spanish in particular

How does your compensation at Hospice East Bay compare to the industry average?

It is on par or better than others. Would prefer Fidelity for retirement plan. Would orefer a good PPO option like Cigna or Aetna for health.
