This position is to ensure consistent and appropriate oversight of a patient who is at risk of intentionally hurting themselves or others. The Safety Aide provides hygiene, comfort, and safety needs to an assigned patient of any age. **Responsibilities And Duties:** 50% Patient /Environmental Safety/Observation of Environment for Potential Hazards and Initiates Safety Measures; Conducts and documents regular patient safety checks; reports concerns and significant changes to RN. Interact with the patient as appropriate and use reorientation techniques and utilize learned de-escalation techniques Obtain report from RN prior to beginning of shift Give a verbal report to RN prior to leaving the unit/shift. 5% Performs Adequately in Emergency Situations.
