Sonora Behavioral Health is hiring for a Clinical Scribe. Our Clinical Scribe performs clerical and information technology functions for the practitioner in a psychiatric hospital setting.
Sonora Behavioral Health, located in Tucson, is Arizona's largest inpatient psychiatric hospital. We provide stabilization treatment of mental health and chemical dependency issues affecting children, adolescents, adults and active duty military personnel. We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and committed to providing superior quality care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accurately and thoroughly document psychiatric evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
Knowledgeable of patient charts and ability to operate electronic health record and dictation system.
Anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of patient encounters.
Assist in developing and maintaining systems to track patient follow up and compliance.
Alert physician when chart is incomplete.
Assist in ensuring all addenda are signed off by a physician.
Comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential.
Collaborate with patient treatment teams and administrative departments including Health Information Management, Utilization Review, Admitting and Receiving, Nursing and Social Work.
