* Using proper techniques, works with attending anesthesiologist to administer anesthetics. Performs anesthetist duties under supervision, as outlined and planned by the attending anesthesiologist. * Participates with attending anesthesiologist in pre-operative assessment, formulation and implementation of the anesthetic plan, initiation of the post-operative pain regimen, and administration of controlled substances according to all applicable HSS policies and procedures.
* Transfers patients from the operating room to the post anesthesia care unit with appropriate monitoring and interventions. Transfers care appropriately to the PACU team, including appropriate sign out. Starts PCA pumps when indicated.

The candidate's primary role is to provide medical and therapeutic massage to the following populations: pre/post orthopedic surgery; athletes recovering from injury as well as improving performance; non-operative orthopedic conditions commonly seen in a rehabilitation center.

The social worker will be responsible for following cardiac transplant, VAD and TAH (Total Artificial Heart) patients which involves assessing patients' suitability for transplantation/VAD, TAH, following patients while hospitalized as well as out- patients both pre and post-transplant/LVAD/TAH as needed. This is a complex position that requires juggling the clinic and in-patient work. This social worker will also be a part of medical interdisciplinary team to coordinate psychosocial components of patient care. The social worker will have responsibilities that include leading support groups, teamwork, committee meetings, quality improvement and other integrative services to benefit the patient population and a weekly 8:00 AM recipient review meetings. This is a part-time position (3d/week) involving a Job Share with another Social Worker. The person in this role would work in Heart Transplant 2 days/week. The third day (which must be Friday due to the structure of the job share) requires working in Liver/Kidney transplant as part of a job share arrangement in that area. The roles and responsibilities in Liver/Kidney transplant are very similar to those in Heart Transplant, but would require collaboration with those teams one day/week. The ideal candidate should demonstrate substantial leadership skills and a dedication to advancing clinical and translational research, particularly using NIH grants. The Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai receives approximately $154 million from the NIH to conduct groundbreaking research across 14 divisions.
Reporting to the System Chair of the Department of Medicine, the System Chief will have oversight of approximately 85 full- and part-time faculty, and 22 voluntary physicians across the Mount Sinai Health System. Responsibilities will encompass the administrative, clinical, research, and educational dimensions of the Division, with a keen appreciation of its distinctive role in medical education and its connection to the community. The System Chief will also have an understanding of the evolving landscape of health care and its effects on health care delivery at academic medical institutions with off-campus ambulatory sites under the auspices of the Mount Sinai Health System.
Mount Sinai Health System serves one of the most diverse patient populations in the world, and the Division of Infectious Diseases offers a wide range of services from general and transplant infectious diseases to lifelong treatment to persons with HIV. Our faculty provides top-tier, personalized care for patients in the five boroughs and beyond while conducting groundbreaking research on the most challenging diseases of our time. The Division is at the forefront of research, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases, including HIV, COVID-19, emerging pathogens, opportunistic infections, and viral hepatitis. The faculty in the Division of Infectious Diseases provides consultation on both inpatient and outpatient service areas, offering expert guidance on the diagnosis and management of bacterial, fungal, mycobacterial, parasitic, and viral infections, as well as preventive services such as travel medicine and pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV. The Division of Infectious Diseases provides care to persons with HIV at the Institute for Advanced Medicine (IAM). IAM has four clinical sites with subspecialty practices for those who are underserved or have specialized needs. Specialized needs groups include persons with HIV, members of the LGBTQ+ community, victims of domestic violence, and recently incarcerated men and women who are transitioning to life on their own.
The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the importance of understanding, monitoring, and responding to novel and re-emerging pathogens, and the Division is prioritizing this work across several areas. For example, in collaboration with Mount Sinai's Department of Genetics and Genomics, our Infectious Disease researchers utilize genomics to understand how hospital infections are acquired, transmitted, identified, and treated. In collaboration with the Department of Microbiology, scientists are working on new diagnostics and therapeutic interventions, such as antibody therapies and vaccines. It is expected that the System Chief will foster such collaborations to continue to grow the research portfolio.

The System Chief of Infectious Diseases' responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Overall management of the System Division of Infectious Diseases across the Mount Sinai Health System (on-campus sites at Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Downtown/Union Square, Mount Sinai Morningside, and Mount Sinai West; and off-campus ambulatory sites). This includes the development of an academically oriented training program, growth of in-hospital and ambulatory clinical programs, and expansion of the basic, clinical and translational research programs. Additional expectations include the maintenance of a financially viable program and the enhancement of the clinical and scientific status of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Monica Kraft is the Murray M. Rosenberg Professor of Medicine and System Chair for the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
In this role, Dr. Kraft oversees all clinical, research, and educational programs within the 14 divisions of Mount Sinai's largest academic department with more than 2,000 faculty members, trainees, and staff and $154 million in National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding.
Dr. Kraft is an outstanding scientist and medical leader who is internationally renowned for her work in asthma and airway disease. She is also an accomplished and sought-after clinician caring for patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and complex airway disease, and receives statewide and national referrals.
She was previously on the faculty of the University of Arizona, where she was the Robert and Irene Flinn Endowed Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine and Deputy Director of the Asthma and Airways Disease Research Center. Previously, she was Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine; the Charles Johnson Distinguished Professor; and Director of the Asthma, Allergy and Airway Center at Duke University.
Dr. Kraft received her MD from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she was also Chief Resident. Dr. Kraft completed her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado and joined the faculty as the Director of the Carl and Hazel Felt Laboratory for Adult Asthma Research and as Medical Director of the Pulmonary Physiology Unit at National Jewish Health.
Dr. Kraft has published extensively in the areas of adult asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and has been funded by the NIH continuously for more than 25 years. The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai / Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Psychologist with Expertise in CBT to treat patients with mood, anxiety and OCD disorders within our Centralized Faculty Practice Program
The Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai is a vibrant community of clinicians, researchers, educators, and trainees committed to discovering the causes of, and better treatments for, mental illness and substance use disorders. This position is open at the Mount Sinai Hospital, located on the Upper East Side of New York city, adjacent to the Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1,171 bed tertiary-care facility internationally acclaimed for excellence in clinical care, education and scientific research.
Purpose of Position:
The psychologist in this position will be responsible for providing specialized evaluations, treatment planning and ongoing outpatient clinical care to adult patient who present with a range of mental health conditions. This position allows for a special focus on patients with mood disorders as well as those with OCD and related disorders, including Tourette syndrome, body focused repetitive behaviors, and other anxiety-based disorders such as social anxiety, generalized anxiety and phobia. The position requires a clinician with a high level of skill and competence in differential diagnosis and application of specialized therapies. Skill and experience in the successful application of the following therapies is required: Cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) such as Exposure and Response Prevention, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics, Habit Reversal Therapy, motivational interviewing, and other forms of pertinent cognitive behavioral therapies. Experience with other CBT approaches as well as DBT approaches will also be relevant. The candidate should also be comfortable working in collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team including MDs, NPs and LCSWs to deliver outstanding clinical service in a team based approach. Opportunities exist to establish group therapy approaches and the program is open to additional clinical programming should the candidate have additional expertise they would like to apply. While primarily a clinical position, opportunities exist to provide clinical supervision to residents, fellows, doctoral students and other clinicians as well as formal teaching and lectures in their areas of expertise.

Expertise in specialized cognitive behavioral therapies, such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT). Experience in DBT and related therapies is a plus.
Experience in providing evidence-based treatment to a diverse population
Excellent writing skills and ability to manage responsibilities of documentation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
Understanding of best practices in diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy
Compensation range from Days 72K to 87K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

At the Hospital for Special Surgery, Central Service Professionals play an integral part of patient safety and contributing to our low infections rates. Our CSP department is responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and safely transporting reusable surgical instruments to our surgical areas. CSP also provides disposable medical supplies to the perioperative areas via surgical case carts.
The mission is to provide customers with products that are 100% clean, complete, sterile and delivered on time. The process is complex due to the vast amounts and variety of surgical instruments found in each tray and meeting the demand of our very busy operating rooms here at HSS. As an integral member of our Magnet Nursing team, your focus will be - the delivery of the world's best patient care! Working in our evidence-based Nursing environment that commands excellence everyday, you will provide comprehensive care to our patients and their families to enhance their experience through the Infusion Therapy Unit. This includes thorough patient assessment and history-taking in this high volume, fast paced ambulatory care setting serving rheumatology patients who are scheduled for Infusion Therapy.
