Shift 1:15pm to 9:30pm
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum one year in a customer service or any related work/school environment where productivity and critical thinking is required. 18-hour mandatory security class, coupled with additional 16 hour security class within first three months of employment (if not already completed at time of hire).
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Law enforcement or hospital security experience highly desirable 3 Ability to communicate with people at all levels, be culturally competent and demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking. Ability to write reports and perform basic data entry.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Intermittent physical exertion Sitting or standing in the same location, as well as the ability to react quickly and/or physically exert as urgent/emergent situations warrant - such as responding to emergencies, walking/running, assisting patients in/out of cars and wheelchairs, climbing stairs and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (50 lbs. or more) Examples: traversing the hospital campus to perform security checks, escorting patients/visitors/staff, and assisting with evacuation of patients using Emergency Management Equipment.

What you will be doing
The Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is responsible for the overall clinical and administrative operations of the ASC, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Special training required to conduct examinations for certain areas such as mammography.

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $74250 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. What you will be doing
Supporting the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, in an outpatient treatment area. You will assist our professional staff in performing routine duties and maintaining work areas. Your primary tasks will require you to take the initiative to complete work, solve problems, communicate issues and suggest efficiencies. You will follow through on assignments and instructions.
Responsibilities include preparing equipment/modalities, assisting patients and therapists, interaction with all disciplines to optimize patient care, helping to keep a safe, clean and obstacle free environment to enhance patient flow.
Shifts may vary: Mon-Fri, from 7am- 8:00pm. Shifts will be 8 hours per day.
Qualifications
To qualify you must be able to complete our on-the-job training and have suitable verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work well within a team is required. Candidates should possess good customer service skills, good judgment and be flexible, friendly and self-motivated.

Pre-surgical Screening & Physician Practice
Monday - Friday (7:30am - 3:45p.m.)
Working under the supervision of a MD or Registered Nurse, you will provide care to patients in our
modern, newly constructed physician office setting
. Begin your workday by walking through an art gallery at the Omni Building. Finish the day in close proximity to museums, restaurants, shopping, and universities.

Minimum Requirements:

2 years experience as a Medical Assistant/Nursing Technician/EMT or Military Corpsman with minimum 1 year experience in orthopedic practice or other surgical subspecialty in an ambulatory setting.
BLS Certification

Scope of Duties:
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, Physical Therapy)
Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing them for examinations, reviewing patient statuses and assisting in obtaining patient data.
Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients
Support the Pre-Surgical Screening program by assisting nurses and obtaining vital signs, lab specimens (venipuncture) and EKG's.
Preparing specimens for the lab and ensuring hand-off to courier
Foster efficient patient throughput, deliver excellent customer service, and establish and maintain an organized professional environment.
Assist the physician in treatments and procedures and ensure physician orders are completed in a timely manner.
Demonstrate proficiency in cast removal, suture and staple removal, and application of off the shelf braces.
Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers.
