What you will have an opportunity to do:
Spire Bar was added to the hotel in 2021 during the renovation and stands as the headquarters of the Biltmore's lively social scene. The beautiful outdoor bar and lounge has 250-seats serving a delicious array of refreshing cocktails, wines, and culinary creations.
Wright Bar is the Biltmore's famous (and infamous) lobby bar embodying the renegade spirit of Hollywood's Golden Age featuring craft cocktails and a light bar menu to include our signature Tequila Sunrise - the legendary cocktail that was invented here in the 1930's!
As a Bartender, you would be responsible for making and serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction; prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests; and maintain significant menu knowledge of both the beverage and food menus.
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks.
Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
Check guests for proper identification.
Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests including those served by other Servers to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all moneys.
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.
Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Lock up and store all beverage, food and other items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.
Attend mandatory meetings.
Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed.
This is a part-time position, and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts vary based on business needs but are typically between the hours of 10am-12am.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Keep all bar/lounge equipment and supplies at the proper level throughout all hours of operation in order to ensure proper service to all guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all bar areas are set up properly for lounge opening.
Maintain the bar and lounge areas in a neat and orderly condition at all times.

SECTION TWO: Role Specific Duties and Expectations
The Bartender provides customized beverage service to each of the hotel's restaurant/bar customers in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner. Responsible for assuring the guest is having a great time and/or relaxing while at the bar. Associates are passionate about guest service and can communicate effectively and multitask.
Responsibilities:
Friendly Greeting: Greet guests and give a clear and correct description of food and beverage options.

POS Skills: Input orders into computer and secure accurate payment.
Cash Management:Receive cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
Bar Stock Management: Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank at end of shift as needed.
Bar Manicure: Sanitize and clean in and around the bar area.
Side work: Complete daily inventory prep sheet and other side work allowable by labor rules.
Menu Knowledge: Knowledge and familiarity of current food and beverage offerings. Promote and document orders for drinks.
Food Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, i.e., product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleaning.
