RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about products and looks for opportunity to “up-sell” products Taking orders and serving drinks and food to bar customers Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while following recipes and/or product directions for mixing beverages Nurturing customers to provide exceptional guest experience Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests Follows all OHM customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures. Making menu recommendations based on customers' needs and preferences Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar Checking customers' IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age Adheres to all opening and closing side work and cleaning schedules. Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check. Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages Requires at least 1 year of closely related bartending experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred Requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation keeping updated on new and revised beverage recipes Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner Can communicate effectively in English Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours. A bartending certificate is a plus Basic computer and math skills Strong teamwork and communication skills Professional and positive disposition Ability to keep the bar clean, stocked and well-organized Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
