SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Patient Services Director and management team, the Room Service Host is responsible for communicating effectively, timely, and courteously with patients, family members, and staff members when distributing menus to all new admissions, obtaining meal choices and delivering/collecting patient trays snacks and tube feeding products. Responsible for communicating with nursing staff related to patients' diet and meal delivery. Scope of Position The Banquet Server provides table service to all patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience. Hourly Staff Schedule Requirements All staffs are kindly asked to understand that the property operation is 24 hours a day 7 days a week, inclusive of all holidays. While the company will make every attempt to create a work and life balance, all hourly paid team members may be asked to work extended shifts and additional days based on business demands. The busiest of days during the season (Memorial Day through Columbus Day) are the weekend days from Friday thru Sunday and on holiday weekends that are celebrated on Mondays, this can include Mondays. All seasonal staff must be aware and able to work all weekends; requesting time off for a holiday weekend may not and will likely not be granted. Assist Server Assistant in clearing used items as necessary to ensure proper pace of service is maintained. Present final check in a pleasant and friendly manner with instructions about how the check will be handled. Provide a warm farewell and invite guests to return again soon. Complete required reports and paperwork to include closing out of registers after each shift as directed by supervisor.
