Assists patients with menu selections based on identified dietary needs, available meal choices, and a prescribed nutrition program/system. Ensures food is properly stored and handled and takes and records food temperatures as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Federal Sanitation regulations concerning facilities, equipment, and utensils. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of dish machine, ovens, steamers, slicers, freezers, and refrigeration. Basic knowledge of nutrition and ability to learn about specialized menu requirements. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner. Ability to multi-task while maintaining quality standards. Strong verbal communication skills for positive interactions with patients. SUMMARY The Host position is responsible for greeting restaurant guests and ensuring table seating is organized and efficiently completed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides excellent and personalized greetings to all guests as they arrive at the restaurant. Assists guests with their reservation or seating request and guides them to the appropriate seating area. Provides accurate wait times if necessary.
