Wyndemere is recruiting for a hospitality focused Server to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions within the community.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Server:
Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always.
Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required
Experience with hosting and seating tables
Experience in food service work preferred
Experience in working with seniors preferred

* Help to clear, clean, and reset tables when necessary to seat guests in a timely fashion.

* Ring all financial transactions accurately.
* Follow all policies and procedures regarding alcohol.
* Responsible for abiding to all cash handling policies and procedures.
* Have knowledge of the "SevenRooms" application on the iPAD to book reservations, assign guest tables, add guest to waitlist, and text for ready tables.
* Pick up and return bank and revenue to and from cage or cash room.
* Accurately verify all banks received and returned from cage or cash room.
* Take reservations when necessary.
* Be knowledgeable of events.
* Other departmental related duties and assignments as directed by management.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Attend seminars when needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred. Must have strong mathematical skills. Ability to read and write English required. Two years' guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment. Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
* Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
* Must successfully pass background check.
* Must successfully pass drug screening.
* Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
* Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
* Must have the ability to anticipate guest and employee needs.
* Must have good communication skills and maintain friendly personable attitude at all times.
* Two years' guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment.
* Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.
ABILITY TO:
* Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge when working.
* Must be able to stand 50% of shift, walk 45% of shift, and sit 5% of shift.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
* Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
