A Host will seat guests in a timely and well-paced flow as to not overwhelm fellow staff members. Will restock coloring sheets, menus, and other items, write daily specials on the black board and perform other miscellaneous tasks. All hosts must be capable of receiving cash and being accurate in giving back change, as well as following computer procedures for credit cards. Can complete to go orders and helps assemble everything needed while confirming exact orders are sent out. Each person must be capable of memorizing our current menu and daily specials. Maintains an attractive Specials Board. Communicates with and assists servers to maintain service efficiency and ensure guest satisfaction. May assist wait staff in serving tables with beverages and deliver food when requested. Removes dirty dishes and utensils from tables between courses and clears tables after guest leave. Will re-set dishes for cleaned vacated tables. A host will assist in returning dishes, silverware, glassware and utensils to the dishwashing area if needed. May assist dish washers if needed. Scans floor consistently and will pick up or vacuum as needed. Closing side work and daily cleaning duties are finished efficiently and completely. Requirements: (Depending on Experience wages are $12.00 to $14.00/hr) EDUCATION: Some High School. Must be able to communicate well to a variety of ages. This position has tips EXPERIENCE: No previous food service experience required. PHYSICAL: Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length, and to lift, bend and stoop. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a fine dining or hospitality-focused environment. Impeccable personal presentation and demeanor, reflecting the elevated atmosphere of the restaurant. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting while maintaining composure and focus. Hourly Employee & Seasonal Employee Benefits At Lone Mountain Ranch, in addition to a competitive hourly wage, we offer a range of benefits to make your experience more rewarding. Seasonal Bonus Program: All hourly employees are eligible for our seasonal bonus program. You will receive $1 per hour worked and $1.50 per overtime hour worked. Employees who terminate or resign before the season ends will not participate. If the season is shortened due to business levels, you will still receive the bonus. Employees in short-term contracted positions, like Lone Mountain Rangers, are also eligible. Staff Cafeteria: Enjoy access to our staff cafeteria, offering 3 meals a day and a variety of grab-and-go items. Ranch Gratuity: In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive a ranch gratuity unique to Lone Mountain Ranch. Ranch-Wide Activities: During the summer, you have free access (space permitting) to activities like horseback riding, Lone Mountain Rangers, and Yellowstone National Park tours, as well as yoga. In winter, enjoy access to 50 miles of cross-country ski trails. Arrival: Complimentary transportation is provided to and from the airport. Uniforms: Free uniforms are provided for your role at the ranch. Opportunity to Transition to Full-Time: After working a minimum of 1560 hours over a 12-month period, you can transition to full-time status. Full-time benefits include vacation and sick pay, medical insurance (with the Ranch covering 80% of premiums), and voluntary dental, vision, and life insurance (employees are responsible for 100% of the premiums for these benefits).
