Job Summary: The greeter is at the forefront of the restaurant operation and is the first and last person to interact with the guest. This roll will also work closely and communicate frequently with front of house/ back of house management and staff to ensure a seamless, successful guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests in a positive, friendly manner upon entering the venue. Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. Bid farewell to all guests upon departing and extend an invitation to return to visit soon. Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-seating assignments, when necessary. Answer restaurant telephone courteously, quickly and efficiently. Manages allergens upon arrival, handwritten Birthday cards, special requests, name usage and return guests recognition. Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment. Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of work area and stock of all necessary work materials. Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return. Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues. Work as a team, assisting all guests' needs and inquiries. Other duties as assigned e.g. complies with telephone etiquette and basic welcoming hospitality standards. Qualifications: 6+ months of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred. Basic knowledge of restaurant operations. Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere. Good organizational and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read, write & speak fluent English. Flexible schedule is necessary which includes but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Position requires regular and reliable attendance. Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Good team spirit. At least 18 years of age. Must have ServSafe and TABC license Physical Requirements: Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Requires manual dexterity.
