Flexible and malleable attitude towards new ideas. Must be able to stand for 9 hours. Ability to perform all job functions while wearing the specified uniform, including proper footwear. Good hearing for accurate communication. Command of the English language. Basic computer usage skills. Must be alert to guest needs. Ability to carry and lift small and large trays up to 40 pounds. Beliefs and behaviors that reflect integrity and discipline. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Perform dining room set-up, running side work and closing duties. Maintain accurate product knowledge including allergens. Serve guests according to steps in service and scripts as trained. Responsible for table maintenance and dining room cleanliness. Compute guest checks and operate the P.O.S. computerized cash register system when accepting payments. Lawfully declares tips according to tip declaration procedure. Maintain dining room and service area safety and sanitation. Must pass state alcohol certification examination. Must pass all tests with a grade of 90% or higher. Perform job functions in accordance with performance standards. Attending all Ambassador meetings and bring suggestions for improvements. Always maintain a clean and professional appearance. A Host is the first and last impression a guest receives in The Temporary and our outlets. Therefore, it is a critical position. Essential Job Functions: Consistently following established sequence of service to provide the highest level of service to our guests Building and establishing a personal clientele through guest interaction, name/face recognition Anticipating guests needs and responding appropriately Greeting guests with eye contact, a smile, and a sincere welcome as soon as they enter the restaurant Name usage whenever possible is key Polite communication with guests regarding any delays or changes in their table or reservation Sincere farewell with a smile Performing all opening and closing duties daily, as assigned per shift Maintaining cleanliness of host area and entrances to insure a positive first impression Working as a team to insure the highest level of guest satisfaction Following all policies and procedures set forth by the company Following all health and safety regulations Communicating effectively with management and team members alike Maintaining the highest level of professionalism with both guests and team members Utilizing OpenTable for reservations and walk ins to obtain guest info Seating guests in a polite and efficient manner at a reasonable pace for service Assisting servers/bartenders/server assistants when possible to keep the flow of the dining room moving Responsible to comply with all managers and direct supervisor requests Preferred: Bi-lingual a plus CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
