Some places are better than others when it comes to starting a career as a hot walker. The best states for people in this position are New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Hot walkers make the most in New York with an average salary of $56,306. Whereas in New Jersey and Connecticut, they would average $53,256 and $53,114, respectively. While hot walkers would only make an average of $53,001 in Rhode Island, you would still make more there than in the rest of the country.
