ABM is currently seeking a Sanitation Manager in Birmingham, AL for our customer who is a leader of quality baked goods. You must have -- Food Sanitation and Leadership Experience!

Responsibilities to include:
Documents and maintains cleaning schedules and follows up with regular audits including Annual 3rd party and customer audits.
-Training, schedules and supervises the sanitation team to maintain the plant and equipment in a sanitary manner.

Be flexible to work with sanitation team by working with different shifts and weekends as required.
Assist with environmental monitoring and regulatory compliance.
Inputs requirements and budgets for efficient operation of the department and operates within the guidelines of the budget.
Manage department spending against budget.

Ensures that adequate cleaning materials are ordered monthly.
Works on and/or leads Continuous Improvement teams.

Skills & Requirements

Education:

This position prefers a post-secondary degree, AIB training and Food industry experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work closely with others in a team atmosphere. Coaching and training skills are also necessary. Computer skills in MS Office applications is required. Organizational and communication skills are also a must. He or she must have the ability to prioritize the workload and delegate responsibilities as needed. Physical demands of this work require that the Sanitation Manager have the ability to work in extreme environments (including hot, cold, wet, dusty and slick places) and be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently (on an occasional basis).
