Responsibilities:
Making Sheetz SPARKLE by maintaining clean internal and external windows, service areas, vehicle parking spaces, extending parking areas, curbs and dumpster areas, floors, restrooms, food and beverage areas, coolers and freezers, and overall store grounds
Taking the lead on inspecting and cleaning service areas, maintaining fuel dispensing units, cleaning and stocking car washes (at stores where we have them!) and snow removal when necessary
Supporting the store team however they need to make spotless store dreams a reality
Full-time team members must be willing to travel between two store locations (mileage and drive time exceeding 15 minutes reimbursed).

Summary of Duties of the Housekeeper
The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleaning of all common spaces and resident rooms. The Housekeeper must have the ability to follow proper procedures and practices. The Housekeeper must have a natural affinity for seniors and a genuine concern for their well-being. The Housekeeper also must be able to assess changes in residents and communicate the changes to management.
Essential Functions of the Housekeeper
Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures.
Dust wall vents, handrails, ceiling fans, baseboards, furniture, and blinds.
Vacuum and spot clean carpets and shampoo, as directed.
Vacuum and spot clean sofa/chairs.
Checks for and remove marks from walls.
Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, refills paper towel, toilet paper, and soap dispensers.
Always maintains chemicals in properly labeled containers and keeps housekeeping cart stocked; Ensure residents do not have access to chemicals by locking carts and storage rooms.
Collect and empty trash.
Follow proper cleaning and infection control techniques.
Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to supervisor and/or seek assistance from supervisor, when necessary.
Notify maintenance of items which need attention including burned out light bulbs and safety hazards at a minimum.
Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action.
Use wet floor/safety hazard signs when cleaning hard surface floors in public areas.
Participate in educational programs, staff meetings, and in-services as provided.
Comply and be held accountable for federal, state, and local regulations.
Listen to resident and/or family concerns/complaints and report them to supervisor.
Maintain emotional composure and stay calm in all situations.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

The Housekeeper ensures all areas of the Mattress Factory campus are clean, well-maintained, and ready to welcome staff and visitors. Cleaning is primarily performed when the museum is closed to the public (Monday and Tuesday) or before operating hours (before 11 AM) on other days. The successful candidate will be reliable, proactive, and professional when interacting with staff, visitors, and external vendors. The Housekeeper will also ensure outdoor areas are free of litter.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for the following cleaning duties across Mattress Factory Contemporary Art Museum campus (including three public gallery buildings, administrative offices and short-term residence building).
Indoor Cleaning and Maintenance
· Clean and maintain all public gallery buildings, administrative offices, and the artist residence building.
· Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors.
· Dust surfaces, and clean doors and door frames in high-touch areas.
· Clean and sanitize sinks, mirrors, and toilets in restrooms.
· Stock restroom supplies and ensure dispensers are functional.
· Gather and dispose of trash from indoor and outdoor receptacles to designated collection bins.
· Change lightbulbs as needed.
· Stay informed about long- and short-term installations to adhere to specific cleaning requirements or restrictions.
· Maintain an orderly supply area and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
· Other duties as assigned.
Residential Cleaning
· Turn over rooms between guest stays, including cleaning shared restrooms and performing laundry tasks for linens and towels.
· Regularly clean common areas of the residence including kitchen and living areas.
Outdoor Maintenance
· Perform light outdoor maintenance, such as removing litter from the parking lot and walkways.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Basic handyperson skills, including small building repairs, painting, and other light maintenance tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A high school diploma or GED equivalent
