Job Position Description:
Professionally clean customer homes using Merry Maids' unique cleaning procedures and products. As a team member, you will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service by consistently cleaning homes.
Responsibilities:
Use Merry Maids cleaning products and procedures to clean in customer homes
Use provided equipment including vacuums and microfiber cleaning cloths
Clean all surfaces in home, including fans, blinds, light fixtures, baseboards, fixtures, counters, showers, toilets, cabinets, and floors
Ability to clean floors on hands and knees in kitchens and bathrooms
Vacuum all stairs, carpet, hard surface floors and furniture

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is seeking a 1st shift Housekeeper. This position is responsible for providing and maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for members of the College community and the public.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Specific responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of academic and/or housing areas (approximately 1-3) according to standards set by the Manager of Housekeeping. This includes vacuuming, dusting, washing and wiping surfaces, wet and dry mopping, emptying garbage and recycling baskets, cleaning windows, cleaning bathroom fixtures, and picking up small trash items.
Perform deep cleaning during summer months, including shampooing carpeted and upholstered areas, stripping, scrubbing, diamond-buffing, and refinishing hard floors, as well as cleaning behind appliances and furniture.
Set up, breakdown, and clean areas for special events such as graduation and summer conference programs. Provide cleanup when unexpected emergencies occur on campus, such as water or human damage.
Communicate any unsafe conditions, building needs, missing equipment and furniture, damaged college property, expired fire extinguishers, and community requests to supervisors and/or Managers of Housekeeping.
Shovel entrances of assigned buildings when needed during hours of work.
Maintain a stock of cleaning supplies and equipment for the individual work area at all times.
Participate in an on-call program (approx. 2 weekends per year) and the weekend work program (approx. 4 weekends per year).
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in the cleaning field or other related field.

Ability to work with others positively and effectively.
Ability to maintain a professional work ethic around students and their living areas.

The work takes place at a variety of locations at a hotel facility. The surfaces at the locations are cement,

He/She vacuums carpets and upholstered furniture, and scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners. The Room Attendant replaces light bulbs, and replenishes bathroom supplies. He/She transports trash to the waste disposal area. He/She may be required to move furniture, hang drapery, and roll carpet when necessary. Other duties may be required as directed by the manager or supervisor.
On a typical day, the Room Attendant performs the following duties:
1. Sorts, counts, folds, and transports linens to various site locations.
2. Makes beds in guest rooms.
3. Replenishes supplies (i.e. drinking glasses, writing materials, bathroom supplies, etc.).
4. Cleans rooms, kitchens, lobbies, lounges, bathrooms, landings, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
5. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
6. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.

Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, in order to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive facility at all times.
Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilet(s) and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sink(s) and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest or is soiled and torn to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs.
Strips bed of all linen and remakes with fresh, checking bedspread, blankets and bed pads for cleanliness, replacing if soiled. Lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under bed.
Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets and pillows.
Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture in order to vacuum entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and hard to reach areas.
Inspects all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and immediately reports all room status and room maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.
Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the laundry department by retrieving soiled linen from carts throughout the hotel, sorting laundry into correct size loads, utilizing industrial washers, dryers and pressers, folding and distributing the cleaned linen to storage closets and/or carts.
Cleans patio/balcony areas by sweeping or hosing the floor and wiping down all furniture and fixtures, picking up garbage and cleaning patio/balcony doors and windows.
Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or cleaning standards.
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
Must have vision ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
Must have upper body strength to lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout an 8 hour shift.
Must have finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout 8 hour shift.
Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during entire work day.

Job Position Description:
This job involves filling in for absent employees at various locations as needed in Green Bay.
This job also will involve training of new employees when experienced enough to do so.

The job does involve some work that requires working on short notice/filling in for people who call in sick.
On average there will be 2 to 4 nights of work per week, each night/shift 2 to 4 hours.
Hours are early evenings weeknights and weekends. The weekend work is flexible, when assigned a weekend job you can generally do it when you like Friday evening or anytime on Saturday or Sunday.
THIS IS A LONG TERM POSITION. We are looking for someone who wants to stay with this job long term.
Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning/janitorial tasks including: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, dusting, cleaning offices & restrooms & breakrooms, cleaning windows, etc.
Training cleaners on ServiceMasters standards, products, processes and procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations.
