INTRODUCTION TO ROLE A housekeeper's responsibility is to perform various cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. The housekeeper also ensures that all rooms are cared for and inspected according to resort standards. The housekeeper ensures that all vacation rentals, common areas, bathrooms, etc., are clean, “guest ready,” and inspected according to property standards.

Cleaning:
Cleaning guest rooms, cabin, and cottage rentals, as well as communal areas and bathhouses
This includes dusting, polishing, linen changes, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen fixtures and appliance cleaning, trash removal, vacuuming, or floor cleaning.
Stripping and making beds
Ensuring rooms and rentals exceed standards and are in working order before guest arrival.
Laundry:
Provides laundry support as appropriate, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting laundry at the property.
Guest Service:
Providing onsite guest support by responding to queries or requests through excellent customer service.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with guest service, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and other departments to exceed guest expectations and achieve company and departmental goals.
Ensures the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance.
Safety Guidelines:
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and is aware of company-related practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality setting (preferred)

Perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks to meet brand and Gulf Coast standards including cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, laundry and working shifts that vary by day and week depending upon business needs.
Primary Job Duties
Receive a list of rooms at the start of shift to identify rooms and public spaces to be cleaned during shift:
Move-Out Cleans: a deep cleaning when a guest checks out
Stay-Over Cleans: a service performed while the guest continues to reside in the hotel
Clean all rooms according to brand and Gulf Coast cleanliness standards within the allotted time
Maintain an orderly cart according to brand and Gulf Coast standards. Carts should be stocked and ready to go at the beginning of the shift
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators and stairways so that health standards are met and the property is clean to brand and Gulf Coast standards
Clean doors, door frames, vents, windows, cabinets, walls, outlets, packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) and windows
Inspect rooms and public areas to accepted health and safety standards
Replace soiled linen and towels, disinfect bathroom surfaces, dust or wipe down all surfaces, vacuum, sweep and/or mop floors
Replenish room supplies, toilet paper, soap, trash liners, etc.
Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guests, immediately reporting any damage to a room, as well as any contents that should not be in a room (drugs, weapons, animals, etc.) to the GM
Notify GM of any maintenance issues.
Notify GM of left behind guest belongings and bag and tag the items according to policy
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and organized
Wash and fold laundry
Wear appropriate attire per the dress code
May be asked to stay on site in the event of a catastrophe

● Ability to maintain the hotel's laundry cleaning schedule to meet daily operational goals and needs.
● Maintain laundry and linen storage rooms to ensure the area has an adequate level of supplies, is organized, and is free of potential trip & fall hazards; inform management of any inventory shortages and ordering needs.
● Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability, separating out linens that need repair or additional cleaning.
● Maintain positive guest relations at all times and understand guests' service needs.

JOB SUMMARY

Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in room.
Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed.
Education & Experience:
Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED.
Physical requirements:
Long hours sometimes required but an average week is 36-40 hours.
Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs)
Ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking during entire shift

Box Office responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to thebar and theatre areas. Responsibilities
Cash handling functions, confirming prices
Assisting customers with their ticket and gift card purchases
Responsible for taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, directing Guests to the theater, and thanking guests as they depart.
Answer phones throughout the shift and direct calls to appropriate personnel as necessary.
Greeting, seating guests, while maintaining a balanced rotation between servers
Clear and prompt communication, both face-to-face and over the phone
Eager and happy to accommodate all guests' requests
Additional opening and closing side work-related job duties: cleaning, stocking, setting up host stand for next shift.
Qualifications
Previous restaurant/ host experience preferred
High School diploma or GED
Able to multi-task
Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
