Job Description
We are seeking housekeeping associates to work at the limited-service Motel 6 Mankato. Housekeepers are responsible for providing exceptionally clean rooms and require the ability to meet standards, be reliable, and have high attention to detail. This is a fast-paced physical job; manual labor is a requirement. An ability to attend to the property with integrity and a willingness to go above and beyond is essential.
Housekeeping associate begins their shifts at 9 am. The lengths of the shifts are determined by motel occupancy and therefore vary in length but are typically 6 hours long (1pm - 5pm ending time).
Minimum Availability:
Must be available for at least 4 shifts per week
Shifts begin at 9am and end when rooms are completed (approx. 6hrs).
Must be available to work at least every other weekend (two-three weekends each month).
Responsibilities Include:
Communicate daily with the Executive Housekeeper (EH) regarding daily expectations and tasks.
Using cleaning products to company regulations and avoid wasting product
Notifying the EH when there are damages, missing items, or other discrepancies
Notifying the EH or front desk immediately when finding forgotten property in a room
Providing privacy and security by entering rooms only when permitted and reporting any potential security or illegal breaches on property
Providing cleaning, fresh towels, and linens for stay-over guests
Providing quality cleanliness in a time-efficient manner
Cleaning checked out rooms including removal of dirty linen, terry, garbage
Ensuring clean floors, corner to corner, in rooms and bathrooms
Make sure walls and doors are free of splatters, handprints, and other dirty substances
Notifying the EH of any additional cleaning needs
Make sure the room smells good or neutral
