Responsibilities:
* Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests.
* Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship.
* Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards.
* Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
* Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies.
* Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests.
* Collecting and disposing of trash.

Qualifications:
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder. You must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks. Employees must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking.
Under Federal Law and the Department of Transportation, we are required to pre-employment drug test all shipboard employees which includes testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances. To provide safe and conscientious service to our guests, the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited. All shipboard employees also have emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship that are included in your training.
American Cruise Lines has grooming standards that include limitations on visible tattoos and piercings. This is a temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work. * Report any damage, hazards, repairs, ad strangers in assigned areas.
* Return any items found in guest rooms, hallways, or back of the house to the Housekeeping department as a lost and Found item and writing: the date, where it was found, description of the item, and the name of the person who found it.
* Responsible for all keys signed out for the shift.
* Clean all corridors and service areas.
* Respond to any projects or requests developed by the Housekeeping management team.
* Handle, store, and label all hazardous substances safely. If any incidents occur during the handling of hazardous substances report immediately and refer to the information in the Safety Data Sheet.
* Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Director or Management team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

In this housekeeping role, you arrive each day ready to get to work and do your part in ensuring that guests are always greeted by a clean, stocked, and orderly home-away-from-home. * Handle, store, and label all hazardous substances safely. If any incidents occur during the handling of hazardous substances report immediately and refer to the Safety Data Sheet.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ROOM ATTENDANT / HOUSEKEEPER
As a Room Attendant / Housekeeper, your main goal is to ensure that things are clean and orderly for our guests. Whether it's cleaning bathrooms, making beds, vacuuming, carrying out the trash, or cleaning surfaces, you get great satisfaction out of checking each task off one by one and being able to physically see what you've accomplished. Your attention to detail and ability to work both individually and as part of a team will not only help you excel in your job, but it will make a huge impact on our guests' stay!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A ROOM ATTENDANT / HOUSEKEEPER
Physical ability to perform the necessary functions of the job
Available to work weekends & holidays
Must work well in a team environment and have excellent time management skills

WORK SCHEDULE
This housekeeping position offers part-time and full-time work with a 7-day work week (hours may vary, must be available on weekends), typically from 9 am - 4 pm.
