Essential Functions Remove screens and covers from processing equipment for cleaning purposes. Operate a high-pressure hot water spray gun used to rinse off food particles and remove foamed chemical compounds. Operate a mechanical foaming unit to apply chemical cleaning compounds. Knowledge of chemicals used for cleaning and where different chemical cleaners are to be used. Areas that are not completely cleaned with foaming cleaner will be hand scrubbed with scouring pads and cleaners. Processing equipment, floors and ceilings are rinsed with high volume cold-water rinse. Airplane brushes are used to clean painted surfaces. Operate conveyors; chill tanks and machines as needed for cleaning with safety as main concern. Remove and soak white plastic conveyors and boning boards in cleaning solutions. Processing work required on occasion. Communicate with fellow employees to complete tasks and adhere to safety standards. Inspecting all plant areas to ensure complete sanitation of area.
