Key Responsibilities: - Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the building, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and exterior grounds. - Performing routine tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash receptacles. - Restocking supplies in restrooms and common areas. - Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and fixtures. - Maintaining the cleanliness of windows and other glass surfaces. - Performing minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging drains. - Monitoring building security and safety by locking doors and reporting any suspicious activity. - Moving furniture and equipment as needed. - Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas. - Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. To keep the nursing facility in a clean and sanitary condition in order to provide for the welfare and core of the residents in a healthful environment. Must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, and perform task despite frequent interruptions. Ability to performing task with due consideration for residents in area. Exercise initiative and judgment involved in maintaining assigned area in a clean and orderly fashion. Must be willing to handle soiled, dirty laundry, and clean soiled, dirty lavatories, beds, chairs, and equipment within the nursing facility. Must have the ability to motivate and supervise staff. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications Previous experience in housekeeping services preferable but not essential. Possesses strong experience in the ability to hire, train, and supervise others. Must have knowledge in the use of cleaning devices, chemical cleaning solutions, and other cleaning equipment. Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities: Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met. Scheduling staff shifts and organizing replacements as required. Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service. Providing training to the housekeeping staff. Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed. Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed. Screening housekeeping applicants and recommending promotions, transfers, and dismissals. Performing various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages. Requirements Housekeeping Supervisor Requirements: Proven housekeeping or hospitality experience. Working knowledge of housekeeping. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
