What will you do?
Hire and manage all room, house, and public area team members; provide training to team members regularly; identify areas of improvement and efficiency
Ensure that stay-over and vacant attendant service is consistently performed by room attendants
Inspect all assigned guest rooms to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Demonstrate proper use of cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces

As a member of the facility team, daily communication and interaction is essential as well as working in a professional and safe manner. The incumbent will complete shift transition assignments, report end of shift duties requiring completion and will notify supervisor of maintenance concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
Performs day-to-day housekeeping services to the main hospital and other buildings on campus to ensure a clean, attractive facility in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Sweeps, vacuums, and washes floors, using appropriate equipment and supplies to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hospital.
Dusts, polishes and washes interior surfaces such as windows furniture, walls, ceilings, etc., using appropriate supplies and equipment in order to maintain building in a clean and orderly condition.
Prepares beds after washing using appropriate linen supplies and removes/hangs window draperies and bedside curtains as needed.
Cleans toilets, lavatories, washrooms, mop closets, etc., using appropriate supplies and equipment in order to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of such areas.
Empties and relines trash receptacles, paying particular attention to the safe and proper handling of hazardous waste.
Arranges and prepares conference rooms, patient care units and other designated areas as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English to communicate effectively with a diverse group of employees, supervisors and visitors.
Skilled in the ability to follow oral and written instructions/directions.
Talent for establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships and deal tactfully with others.

This includes preparing select food items for meal service. 3. Deliver complete and accurate trays and food requests no later than 45 minutes of placing order and collecting trays no later than 1 hour after tray delivery while compiling with the departmental policies and procedures for tray delivery and pickup. Including verifying patient's menu selections to food items served on the tray and then immediately fixing mistakes. Delivery of food requests could be to an inpatient or outpatient area of the hospital. 4. Act upon patient meal service requests either by resolving the issue directly or alerting issues to the call center or supervisor. 5. To contact a supervisor or diet tech to substitute an item. 6. Deliver nourishments to patient bedside and floor nourishment areas. According to guidelines, inventory and order nursing station refrigerator supplies. 7. Record nursing station refrigerator temperatures to document food stored according to state-local-JCAHO regulations. 8. Bill and collect the cost of a guest or staff order in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Does not accept gratuities to perform assigned work duties. 9. Adhere to hospital and departmental hand hygiene policy and procedures. 10. Inventory and restock food and equipment, prior to meal service and assure adequate levels during meal service. 11. CHD's Shared Living program provides an alternative residential setting to the 24-hour group home. It is expected that the individual would join in social activities, as appropriate, and be included in the daily life and schedule of the home. Shared living care is tailored to the needs of the individual, but most individuals need help with the activities of daily life, including meal preparation, medication management, financial transactions, and transportation to appointments.
This is a shared living staff position in the East Longmeadow area. The individual receives Day support services from M-F and some hours during weekends and as a relief for the shared living provider. We are currently looking for a calm, polite, responsible person to provide client supervision during awake overnights.
Open Positions:
Full-time Awake Overnight position-10pm-6am, Monday-Friday & Part-time Awake Overnight position-11pm-7am Saturday and Sunday.
Pay rate: $20.00/hour
Required:
High School Diploma.
At least three years of experience working in the field of human services with DDS, Clients, Autism or Mental Health Individuals.
All formal and site-specific trainings with be provided by the agency and Shared Living Provider.
