**What you'll do...**

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Spot clean the lobby glass doors
Polish chrome on lobby doors
Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor

Check restrooms twice daily

Clean without direct supervision, areas inside/outside exposed product rooms that are away from product contact surfaces (walls, floors, drains, etc.)
Perform all work and assigned tasks according to company SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and master sanitation.
Clean with direct supervision from supervisor/manager food contact sufaces (belts, shakers, wash tanks, elevators, scales, etc), areas immediately adjacent to food contact surfaces, and areas directly over food contact surfaces.
Operate chemical dispensing equipment, sanitation equipment, machinery controls, and various tools.

Sanitors are responsible for the complete cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment prior to releasing the plant to production for operation. Industrial cleaning chemicals are used daily and must be used with caution for the safety of the sanitor and those around them.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete general sanitation on equipment & facilities per SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
Work with industrial cleaning chemicals such as chlorinated alkaline soaps, degreasers, sanitizers and acidified cleaning compounds.
Upholds strict cleanliness standards, following SSOPs, visual inspections and QA inspector feedback.
Willing to work flexible hours and shifts (day or night - primarily night shift).
Works in a safe manner - adhering to PPE requirements, chemical handling requirements, ladder safety, electrical safety and general safety protocols.
Understand and adhere to all processes when diluting concentrated chemicals.

Members of the Sanitation crew are required to completely clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short periods between the plant's normal production shifts, which typically requires that the sanitation worker work during late evenings/night/early morning shifts (specific work shift to be determined by the supervisor), and some overtime (weekends, days, evenings). The sanitation worker will also be working around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation process. The sanitation worker must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the Sanitation Lead's instructions and following all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.

This position contains several duties throughout the packing facility, Stacking, lifting, dumping raw materials, picking up raw materials from the floor, cleaning, working in wet areas for a long period of time, packing, and/or sorting. Tasks and duties include loading product, monitoring and manipulating materials at various stages of processing; filling various sized containers; and preparing product for shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Separate and stack packed boxes
* Setup and prepare pallets to stack packed boxes on
* Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using pallet jack.
* Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected; notify supervisors or operators of any malfunctions or safety concerns.

SECONDARY JOB SCOPE (SANITATION):
Work as part of the sanitation cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize processing equipment and processing areas of the plant, to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards delineated within Growers Express Safety and Quality Management system. Members of the Sanitation crew are required to completely clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant's normal production shifts, which typically requires that the sanitation worker work during late evenings/night/early morning shifts (specific work shift to be determined by the supervisor), and some overtime (weekends, days, evenings). The sanitation worker will also be working around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation process. The sanitation worker must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the Sanitation Lead's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Safety policies.
* Follow PPE practice when handling chemicals and using compressed air if applicable.
* Performing Good Sanitation Practices (GSP's) when handling and working with or around equipment.
* Ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations by analysis of cleaner strengths on CIP 75 and sanitizers used during the sanitation process in a safe manner
* Reporting equipment that is damaged, shows wear, or needs replacement to a Supervisor or Team Leader.
* Follow all company SSOPs to clean and sanitize processing equipment and processing facilities.
* Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact
packaging during sanitation procedures.
* Follow FSQ requirements such as GMP's and other daily job specific duties to support QRMP
* Complete all sanitation and required SQF documentation.
* Maintain all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to foamers, pressure washers, cleaning equipment and tools.
