Colquitt Regional Medical Center is currently hiring Housekeeping Aides in our Environmental Services Department. The aide will perform task in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility by practicing accepted standards of housekeeping techniques.

Floor techs: Cleans and maintains all carpet and hard surfaces in the facility. Perform preventive maintenance on special floor equipment.

Waste Tech: Remove soiled linen, bio-hazard waste, and trash from all areas of the hospital and outpatient areas.
Job Requirements:
Physical: Walks, bends, pushes cart and/or floor equipment; lifts up to 25lbs for aides and 45lbs for floor and waste techs. Ability to work safely around mechanical and/or electrical devices and equipment, chemicals, and hazardous waste.

Our Environmental Services Department at our Akron Hospital is looking to add a Housekeeping Aide to our team to create a comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. This position is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, restrooms, and various common areas assigned to your unit. Other duties include timely completion of discharge and other assorted cleaning requests, establishing rapport with patients, and working alongside fellow caregivers from other departments.

Completes daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments within designated area according to established policies and procedures. Washes, dries, folds, distributes and collects soiled towels as needed in the Lifestyles locker rooms if applicable. Keeps supplies stocked at all times. Maintains appropriate levels of products necessary in the performance of duties. Maintains an accurate inventory of supplies and notifies supervisor when additional supplies are needed. Cleans and inspects equipment such as washers, dryers, cabinets, windows and casings as appropriate. Reports any necessary facility or equipment repairs to the supervisor and/or maintenance department. Completes annual on-going competency requirements. Attends continuing education programs and completes mandatory training in order to maintain certification/licensure, department specific requirements and professional growth. All Lifestyles: Maintains required CPR (BLS). Follows system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety. Other duties as assigned
