As a Housekeeper Laundry, you will perform the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department in accordance with current federal, state, OSHA, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the community, and to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment. Clean and sanitize residents' rooms and other areas of the community. Knowledge of household and industrial laundry equipment; maintain cleanliness of laundry area in accordance with established Balfour policies and procedures.
You have a talent for interacting with residents, families and staff, you honor residents' personal and property rights and maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information. You report losses and damages of residents' laundry and property and turn in any found items. You act as a positive representative of the community at all times and demonstrate knowledge of infection control and emergency procedures and follow established guidelines when using equipment, supplies and chemicals.

*House Keeping Duties: *
* Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors. May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following facility procedure, including the use of wet floor signs.
* Report to supervisor any carpeted areas that need cleaning or spot removal.
* Vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable.
* Dust damp clean surfaces in patient rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.) following facility procedure, including the use of wet floor signs.
* Empty trash cans, clean exterior, clean interior, and replace can liner with a clean one.
* Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following facility procedure.
