We are looking to hire staff for our after-school programs. Interested candidates must be available to work 2:00-6:30pm, Monday-Friday, during the 2020 school year.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided in within a specific program areas, such as Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):Prepare Youth for Success 1.Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes: promote and stimulate program participation; register new members and participate in their club orientation process; provide guidance and role modeling to members. Program Development and Implementation 2. Effectively implement and administer services and activities for drop-in members and visitors.3.Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch at all times. Prepare periodic activity reports. Supervision 4.Ensure a productive work environment by participating in staff meetings as required by supervisor or senior staff. 5.Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in the organization's Employee Handbook and elsewhere.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:1. May participate in special programs and/or events.2. May be required to drive Club van.
RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel. External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:• High School diploma or GED with a preference for 48 college units.• Experience in working with children.• Knowledge of youth development.• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.• Ability to deal with the general public.• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.• Interpersonal skill development and maintenance.• Food Handlers Card (will provide training).• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (will provide training).• Must be 21 with a Valid State Drivers License to operate a company vehicle.

All kids and staff wear mask and wash hands in the beginning and throughout the day. Health questions are asked to parents and staff along with temperatures are checked.
