Primary Responsibility
The Human Resources Generalist provides full-scope human resources support to assigned programs within Catholic Charities Worcester County. The role serves as the primary HR partner to managers and employees, exercising discretion and independent judgment to advise on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and the interpretation and application of agency policies and employment laws.
Essential Duties
Serve as the primary Human Resources contact for assigned programs, providing consultative guidance to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
Partner with supervisors and management to interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations to individual situations, providing recommendations on appropriate actions.
Manage recruitment activities for assigned programs, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and advising managers on candidate selection to ensure compliant hiring practices.
Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes, exercising judgment to resolve documentation issues and ensure compliance with credentialing, training, and regulatory requirements.
Advise managers on performance management, corrective action, and employee relations matters; exercise discretion in determining appropriate responses and when issues require escalation to the Human Resources Manager.
Monitor compliance documentation (including CORIs, credentials, evaluations, and trainings), identify deficiencies, and advise managers on corrective steps.
Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in accordance with agency policy and legal requirements.
Process employee status changes (hires, transfers, promotions, separations), ensuring policy compliance and advising management on procedural or regulatory implications.
Serve as a point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving issues through coordination with third-party payroll administrators and benefit vendors as needed.
Support benefits administration activities, including open enrollment and benefit changes, and provide guidance to employees regarding benefit options and processes.
Prepare, review, and analyze HR reports and audit materials; identify trends or issues and communicate findings to HR leadership as appropriate.
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety through awareness, reporting, and safe work practices.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Knowledge/Experience
Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a human resources or HR-related role required.
Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now) strongly preferred.
Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or social services environments is a plus.

Reporting medication errors and incidents to the Supervisor and other regulatory authorities as required.
Responsible for all lab samples and resident lab sampling schedules.
Participate in regularly scheduled Treatment Team and Monthly Staff Meetings and the many in-service trainings required of this position.
Knowledge/Experience:
Successfully completing the formal Medication Management Specialist Training through BSAS.
CPR-First Aid Certified and Overdose Prevention/Narcan training capable.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the human services field with a special knowledge of substance abuse and the role of a residential community model.
Possess a base of knowledge from introductory courses in substance abuse and drug dependencies, as well as an understanding of working with individuals within a marginal community.
Lived experience is valued. Candidates with personal recovery experience should demonstrate at least two years of sustained recovery outside the workplace.

This role collaborates with staff and management within Mercy Centre's Employment, Community-Based Day Services (CBDS), and Day Habilitation programs to promote positive behavioral outcomes and meaningful community engagement.
Essential Duties:
Conduct assessments: This person will assess the behavioral needs of Individuals to understand the underlying causes of their behaviors.
Developing Intervention Plans: this person will create personalized intervention plans to address the identified behavioral challenges.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Case Manager to join our team at our Family Shelter. This position provides intake services, conducts comprehensive needs assessments, and develops and implements service plans for individuals and families at risk of hunger and homelessness, while always respecting the dignity and autonomy of clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with other team members as necessary to provide comprehensive services to all clients of the Family Shelter/Homeless Prevention program.
Meet with families to complete a comprehensive needs assessment which includes information about their financial and housing needs. Secure the necessary documentation to facilitate services to be provided.
Work with families to develop a service plan to address the needs as identified in the assessment. Assist the family in accessing needed services in the community; advocate on their behalf as needed.
Educate families on fair housing laws and practices, how to identify discrimination when encountered, and where to go if the family chooses to file a discrimination complaint.
Maintain case records and reports necessary for good casework practice.
Meet with Supervisor periodically to review the progress of the family in achieving the service goals.
Maintain knowledge of community resources and services that can benefit parents and children in the program.
Educate families about local housing units and subsidized housing programs and assist families in completing the necessary applications.
Work with families individually and/or in groups to discuss budget planning and to prepare families in housing search activities.
Refer families to other available housing related resources within the geographic area.
Accompany families to view apartments and negotiate with landlords, and provide transportation when necessary.
Conduct outreach to landlords and realtors for the purpose of locating apartments and educating landlords about the benefits available through subsidy programs. Develop and maintain a network of realtors and landlords who will house homeless families.
Work with local housing authorities, private and public agencies, community service organizations, realtors and landlords to identify available housing units. Check apartment vacancies through networks and newspapers.
Track services to clients and provide requested reports on client services to the Coordinator, funding sources, and others as requested and appropriate
Prepare for and attend meetings with supervisor and report on above listed activities
Represent the program as requested in the community programs related to Welfare Reform, housing issues, homelessness, and other issues pertinent to the program
Work collaboratively with other programs or Agency staff to ensure coordination of services and effective use of resources
Perform similar and related duties as assigned.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid Driver's License.
Education/Experience Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in social work, human services or a related field with supervised experience in homelessness, housing search and/or human services;
OR
a high school diploma, or its educational equivalent, with at least three years of supervised experience in the previously stated fields.
Ability to read, write, and speak in both Spanish and English is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
English proficiency (verbal and written communication) as it relates to the job; second language is a plus (especially Spanish).
Ability to write clear, accurate, and professional reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated understanding of the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness and crisis.

We are seeking a full-time Kitchen Manager / Cook to join the Crozier House.
Crozier House is an initial voluntary 3-to-6-month Residential Recovery Service (RRS) licensed under the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) in Massachusetts along with all RRS Levels of Care for such programs like Crozier House. We have forged partnerships with other various agencies and insurance companies as a way to individualize our residents' treatment, along with gaining financial assistance from Federal subsidies for substance use disorders.
Primary Responsibility: Responsible for the preparation of evening meals on weekdays, and for providing food for breakfast and lunch for residents to prepare for themselves.
Essential Duties:
Order and prepare food, sometimes responsible to make and pick-up food supplies.
Manage the kitchen and the residents working in the kitchen efficiently.
Responsible for the general cleanliness and order of the kitchen and the dining areas, all equipment, refrigerator, coolers, stove and storage areas.
Plan meals on a weekly basis after consultation with the Administrator in order to provide wholesome, appetizing and healthy meals.
Order sufficient quantities of perishable food and kitchen supplies for at least one week's use.
Prepare and cook all food served on weekdays.
Supervise the dining room set-up and assure its readiness for meals.
Notify the Administrator of the need for repair and/or replacement of equipment.
Keep records and accounts of all purchases and supplies.
Check deliveries of food and kitchen supplies against the invoice for accuracy.
Pick up necessary day to day food supplies.
Knowledge/Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in food preparation and service.
Possess knowledge of substance abuse and the role of a residential halfway house in the recovery process.
Understand the confidential nature of the relationship with the residents living in Crozier House.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to write legibly and understand reports.
Possess a high level of maturity, sensitivity and the skill to deal with and communicate well with people.

Catholic Charities Women's Recovery Program is seeking a full-time Medication Specialist. Sunday through Thursday, 3:00PM to 11PM.
Primary Responsibility: The Medication Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing resident and patient medications and facilitating the ability of the residents to continue their prescribed medications across the continuum of care and transitions in providers.
Essential Duties:
Observing and supporting residents take their medications as prescribed.
Directly connecting residents to providers and prescribers to start and/or continue medications.

Monitoring medication adherence and notifying the appropriate team member when a medication is taken incorrectly.
Maintaining an accurate record of medications which remain in the possession of residents.
Maintaining accurate documentation of all medication stored and disposal of.
Ensuring the medication refrigerator is in working condition and refrigerator temps are recorded daily.
Ensuring the smooth return and release of medications to individuals at time of discharge.
Stocking the medication room with the appropriate supplies such as medicine cups, counting trays and spatula, and cleaning those supplies regularly to prevent buildup of medication residue.
Witnessing medication disposal and ensuring disposal is completed on a regularly scheduled basis to prevent accumulation of medications.
Checking and replacing expired facility-supplied medications, including first aid kit supplies and naloxone (Narcan) rescue kits.
Orienting new residents to program's medication policies and procedures.
Training new and existing staff on the programs medication policies and procedures.
Arranging for program staff to receive annual naloxone training and ongoing medication management education, including scheduling external trainers to come onsite.
Reporting medication errors and incidents to the Supervisor and other regulatory authorities as required.
Responsible for all lab samples and resident lab sampling schedules.
Participate in regularly scheduled Treatment Team and Monthly Staff Meetings and the many in-service trainings required of this position.
Follow all safety protocols and contributes to a culture of safety through awareness, reporting, and safe work practices.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Knowledge/Experience:
Successfully completing the formal Medication Management Specialist Training through BSAS.
CPR-First Aid Certified and Overdose Prevention/Narcan training capable.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the human services field with a special knowledge of substance abuse and the role of a residential community model.
Possess a base of knowledge from introductory courses in substance abuse and drug dependencies, as well as an understanding of working with individuals within a marginal community.
Lived experience is valued. Candidates with personal recovery experience should demonstrate at least two years of sustained recovery outside the workplace.

Bi-lingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
