Responsibilities
· Travel to various jobsites to obtain necessary survey data and jobsite information.
· Gather field survey data to determine precise location & measurements of points, elevations, and contours, etc.
· Process survey data, ensuring compliance to applicable regulations and professional standards.
· Perform simple surveying calculations, deed research, deed plotting and map checks.
· Perform quality control checks of plats and drawings prepared by other technicians.
· Ensure schedules and productivity objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
· 10+ years progressive field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, DTM projects, and construction surveys using GPS survey techniques.
· Excellent computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office, Auto CAD/Civil 3D and/or Micro Station.
· Trimble survey equipment experience preferred.
· Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
· Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
· Valid Driver's License and good driving record

Essential Functions
· Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of rural watersheds and riverine systems.
· Evaluate flood mitigation and flood control projects and their effectiveness.

Education, Experience and Skills
· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
