+ Maintains hardware, servers, software and databases used in the lab.
+ In coordination with the medical directors, testing personnel and vendors, troubleshoots bioinformatics pipelines, application or hardware related issues as they arise.

The Quantum AI for Bio (QAI4Bio) Lab led by Dr. Christoph Gorgulla in the Center of Excellence for Data-Driven Discovery in the Structural Biology Department, seeks a skilled and highly motivated
deep learning researcher/engineer.
Our research group is focused on developing state-of-the-art computational methods for ligand/drug discovery, using machine learning, high-performance/cloud computing, and quantum chemistry and quantum computing. Our group also includes a wet lab dedicated to experimentally verifying the computationally predicted results in real-world drug discovery projects.
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoc with deep expertise in machine learning and deep learning. You will join an interdisciplinary team to push the boundaries of what's possible at the intersection of artificial intelligence and molecular modeling, building novel AI systems to advance discovery in chemistry, ligand discovery, and quantum approaches.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead collaborative projects, mentor junior scientists and students, and contribute to high-impact publications. By working together in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children fighting cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

In October 2021, Washington Emergency Care Physicians (WECP) proudly opened the first Pacific Northwest-based emergency medicine post graduate program for advance practice providers (APPs). The Program is specifically designed for physician assistants and nurse practitioners who are interested in a life-long career in emergency medicine with training sites in the Puget Sound through Tacoma Emergency Care Physicians (TECP), a subsidiary of WECP.
Program Objectives
To provide exceptional training and experience for APP professionals to have a successful career in any emergency department setting.
To prepare candidates well for recognized emergency medicine APP examinations (NCCPA-CAQ for physician assistants, AANPCB Boards for nurse practitioners)
Curriculum
Fifteen (15) months program duration with over 3000 hours of post graduate training
Close to 2400 hours of clinical training
Over 300 hours of didactics to include over an introductory bootcamp followed my weekly activities that include conferences, meetings, case presentations, ultrasound training, procedure lab or simulation.
Over 400 hours of independent study to include case review & presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings, and scholarly research project.
Expected commitment of 50 hours per week of the above activities

The Cardiac Specialty Unit consists of 33 telemetry beds.
Specialized care is delivered on The Cardiac Specialty Unit to patients presenting with chest pain or unstable angina, as well as those recovering from placement of cardiac stents, permanent pacemakers, or AICDs.
The top three admitting diagnoses for 3 Riverstone are Coronary Atherosclerosis, Intermediate Coronary Syndrome, and Cardiac Dysrhythmias.
We have long-term staff members because of our culture and teamwork on the floor. The physicians see this as well and trust the judgment of our team.
Our team includes high quality RNs, Patient Care Assistants and Health Unit Coordinators. Our staff work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week and rotate every other weekend and holiday. We have a modified self-scheduling model that covers a six-week period to allow for flexibility. Summarize project data for program's use (this could include creation of short briefs, presentations, dashboards, reports, charts, etc.).
Support cloud implementation by working with the cloud implementation team to establish requirements and to assist with technical review of implementation and verification of work performed.
Provide bioinformatics support by reviewing reports and developing standards for analysis.
Review outputs from bioinformatics analysis pipelines to verify pipelines perform as expected.
Work with CDC Scientific Computing Team to establish requirements, verify implementation, schedule meetings, and keep up with documentation to support the team.
Assist in defining and developing statements of work for IT contracts related to cloud implementation.
Perform market research related to cloud implementation.
Provide technical documentation in relation to cloud implementation.
Coordinate and maintain contacts and relations with as well as facilitate meetings and sessions between OAMD partners, interested external groups, and collaborating organizations Partners for knowledge-sharing, project development, and improvement.
Draft and present summaries of findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Confer with and represent the assigned program and division in meetings with offices within CDC, grantees, and external partners to foster collaborative working relationships to the benefit of the program.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in information technology, bioinformatics, allied health, health science, or life sciences, minimum 3 years of work experience in health informatics, two years of work experience in cloud implementation, and 2 years of technical project management experience.
Required:
Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in Phyton; relational database management systems; and standard Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with whole genomic sequencing, and genome-based typing systems.
Experience performing quality control, assembly, annotation, and analysis of pathogen genome sequences.
Proficiency with open source and commercially available software for bioinformatics analysis of next-generation sequencing data.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently organize multiple priorities.
Documentation of daily work with good laboratory practice compliance.
Ability to work and build coalitions with partners involved and develop strategies for effectively conveying information to partners.
Skills and experience writing project reports, research protocols, and manuscripts.
Ability to independently resolve conflicts.
Working knowledge of CDC applications.
Desirable:
Experience working with a diverse interdisciplinary team.
Knowledge of CDC policy, quality, and regulatory training.
Language Skills:
The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
