    Full-time Description FLSA Status - Non-Exempt As the Youth Activities Attendant, you will assist the Youth Activities Supervisors and/or the Director of Youth Activities with the day-to-day operations of the Youth Program. Provide members and their children with a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for children to play, so parents feel comfortable while working out in the club. Ensure team members provide exceptional customer service and interact with children at all times Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operations, it may be necessary for each employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed. Job Tasks (Essential Functions) Provide a safe, clean, and well organized youth area. Help with supervision and check-in areas Provide guidelines for the youth utilizing club equipment Ensure that the youth follow safety procedures in all youth areas. Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment in youth areas. Oversees daily checks of areas and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair. Ensure that youth areas are kept free of hazard and debris. Assist with ensuring team members initiate, develop and maintain personalized relationships with members and their children. Personally engage children in interactive activities that include organized arts & crafts, fitness activities, and games. Participate as a member of the staff team to monitor and promote all youth events, including birthday parties, camps, and all other activities and club functions Answer all questions politely. Enforce all club rules fairly and consistently. Ensures the Game Room & Exergame areas are cleaned and straightened each day, including vacuuming, wiping down machines, cleaning doors/windows, and removing any trash and taking it to the dumpster. Sweeps and mops the racquetball court areas as well as cleans the glass barriers. Refer all problems or complaints to Supervisors promptly. Not permitted to allow unauthorized friends or relatives to use the facility. Maintain clear and positive written and verbal communication with all club staff. Provide ongoing youth program ideas Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Youth Activities Supervisors and/or Director of Youth Activities. Clean clay and hard courts of debris (leaves, pine needles, etc.) Assist in watering of clay courts. Pick up tennis towels Assist in grounds maintenance when needed. Empty trash cans. Fill court water coolers. Other duties as assigned by manager. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Courts Foreman, Assistant Courts Foreman and/or Director of Courts & Grounds. Reports to Director of Courts & Grounds Courts Foreman Assistant Courts Foreman Supervises No supervisory duties are included in this position. Requirements: Minimum Requirements Education - High School Diploma or GED preferred, experience is a plus. Language Skills - Verbal English preferred Physical Requirements Stand - Three quarters of the time Walk - Three quarters of the time Sit - Quarter of the time Use hands/fingers to handle/feel - Always Reach with hands/arms - Always Climb or balance - Quarter of the time Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl - Quarter of the time Talk/hear - Always Taste/smell - Quarter of the time Weight Lifted/force exerted - up to 80 pounds.
