The Production Manager provides production management support for large-scale events and productions presented in and by the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center. The production manager provides oversight of all production activities in support of the artistic goals of HCC's performing arts department and provides support to external producers as applicable, acting as a liaison between artistic teams and the Horowitz Center technical support staff. The production manager creates and implements efficient systems for production protocol and operations, including production scheduling, budgeting, inventory management, and staffing in such a way as to ensure that all elements are provided on time and within budget.
Work Performed
Planning and Communication
* Contributes to the season programing process for each season of productions in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center.
* Provides coordination between college departments and offices for the purpose of facilitating productions, fostering positive and effective communication between cross-functional areas.
* Evaluates production requirements of season schedules and timelines; develops production plans, prioritizes, and schedules accordingly.
* Creates and maintains production calendars.
* Coordinates meetings between design teams, directors, and artistic staff.
* Schedules and facilitates production meetings. Produces and distributes production meeting notes.
* Collaborates with faculty, providing coordination, mentorship, and supervision for students involved in productions.
Production
* Possesses an awareness of and commitment to the artistic vision of each production while maintaining an awareness of financially-related items. Effectively communicates requirements in an effort to facilitate production-related decision making.
* Collaborates with key stakeholders to select, interview, and hire design staff and stage management.
* Oversees theatre program and dance program events from conceptual production meetings to closing.
* Acts as liaison between Horowitz Center technical support staff and artistic teams of external productions.
* Reviews all rehearsal and performance reports and ensures that notes are addressed in a timely manner by appropriate staff.
* Schedules and coordinates build, load-in, paint, rehearsal, light hang and focus, sound load, tech, and strike for each production in collaboration with Technical Director, Associate Technical Director, Technical Coordinator, and Production Electrician.
* Ensures design deadlines are implemented throughout the production process.
Administrative and Financial
* Issues offers to cast and creative team members.
* Creates and maintains production budgets in collaboration with production unit leadership.
* Approves and authorizes production expenses made by guest artists and craftspeople.
* Maintains production files, including show books, contracts, agreements, schedules, and design drawings.
Space and Inventory Management
* Manages props and wardrobe collections.
* Supervises maintenance and inventory of stock stored in various areas (furniture, props, wardrobe, accessories, make-up, wigs, and equipment such as steamers, hair driers, etc.)
* Hires and supervises wardrobe personnel for dry cleaning, laundry, steaming per production.
* Evaluates and communicates needs to management regarding inventory, replacements, repair, etc.
* Coordinates and schedules inventory tours.
* Oversees all lending activity with on/off campus entities/organizations - copying management/HVPA entities prior to committing. Documents and communicates pick-up/return deadlines.
* Evaluates backstage areas after production closings/strikes.
* Responsible for greenroom and dressing room maintenance.
Supervision
* Interviews, hires, and supervises temporary hourly personnel.
* Supervises Stage Management to ensure artistic and technical integrity is maintained throughout the run of the production.
* Oversees the work done by designers, guest artists, and other contracted vendors during all phases of the production process.
* Other duties as assigned.

* B.A. Degree in arts related field or minimum of five years of project management experience in related arts field.
* Production Management experience within higher education preferred.

* Budget development and budget management experience.

Manages the HCC Game Room and plans and coordinates key programs in the Office of Student Life, including, Welcome Week each semester, Dragon Connection Fair each semester, diverse programming that centers equity and inclusion, and other programs that support the mission of Student Life. This role will also be responsible for budget management and promotion of the Game Room, its programming, and Student Life Events.
Work Performed
* Manage daily operations of the game room including front desk operations as needed
* In coordination with the Assistant Director and Director of Student Life, assess, design, plan, organize, promote, and implement a programming model for the Office of Student Life, with particular attention to Game Room-specific programming, Welcome Week, Dragon Connection Fair, and events that center equity and inclusion
* Develop and implement assessment practices for Student Life programming and the Game Room, including data collection and reporting
* Assist with managing the budget for the Game Room and Student Life programming
* Foster mentoring relationships with and among game room patrons and staff; create opportunities for faculty/staff to participate in mentoring of game room patrons
* Promote the Game Room and its services to students and the campus community
* Work with campus partners in supporting the academic retention and completion of game room patrons

* Meet regularly with Assistant Director of Student Life and Director of Student Life as needed
* Place on-campus work orders for catering, event set-up, facilities maintenance, housekeeping, audio/visual, and tech support as needed
* Maintain Game Room inventory and purchase supplies as needed
* Work with external vendors when needed to maintain equipment or to secure programming needs
* Supervise game room assistants including work-study compliance, hiring, recruiting, approving time sheets, staff scheduling, facilitating staff meetings, staff evaluations, and staff recognition
* Assist in the supervision of student employees during events
* Design and implement game room assistant training and monitor staff completion of mandatory college training
* Supervise the equipment check-out process and and work with IT to manage Game Room patron check-in and check-out process
* Collaborate with Public Safety and other campus partners on the safety of Game Room patrons and equipment
* Facilitate semester town hall meetings and Game Room assessment tools to obtain/manage and then respond to feedback from game room patrons

ROLE of the POSITION
University Police Services is conducting a continuous recruitment for current and future openings for University Police Officer 2. The following law enforcement credentials are categorized as a University Police Officer 2:
Passed a certified police academy and obtained a Category 1 P.O.S.T. certification, passed field training, and has obtained permanent status as a Police Officer 1 and 2.
Positions may be assigned to any campus to include the College of Southern Nevada, Desert Research Institute, Nevada State College, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The University Police Officer 2 will work under general supervision, performing journey level law enforcement duties to include protecting university employees, students, and the general public; patrolling and safeguarding the university system properties and surrounding areas; conducting traffic investigations; conducting criminal and non-criminal investigations; preparing for security and law enforcement activities surrounding special events; preparing for appearances in court; performing maintenance on assigned equipment; performing special assignments related to law enforcement and peace officer functions; and maintaining law and order, among other duties.
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
The department is a full-service police department comprising patrol operations, administration, police dispatch and a detective division. Services include a canine program, walking and bicycle patrols, and a pro-active, selective traffic enforcement program and takes a leadership role in preparing the University to respond to large-scale crises and events. The department consists of 80 employees (42 full-time sworn officers, 10 sworn part-time, 8 non-sworn part-time, 24 students, and 20 full & part-time civilian support staff). Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local health and safety laws.

Temporary Art Model

Montgomery College, Art Department, is currently accepting applications for live models for their Figure classes (Figure Drawing, Figure Sculpture, and Figure Painting).
Models will work during the academic semester. Hours will vary depending on semester, course schedules and model availability. Hours are flexible, 6 to 24 hrs per week. Position is for modeling in “Life” classes only, nude models are used for 95% of the schedule. Models are critical and integral to our figure classes. We are looking for responsible employees with a professional attitude, who understand the importance of their work.
