Basic Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience with local, state, federal, and regional EHS regulatory obligations, particularly in the context of contract manufacturing operations.

Minimum 3 years of experience managing or overseeing Health Physics/Radiation Safety programs, with a specific focus on supply chain assurance and good governance in contract manufacturing settings.

1. Plans, coordinates, conducts, and evaluates member related safety training and meetings with an emphasis on the lineworker trade on a routine basis.
2. Assists in creating content (lesson plans) for safety meetings geared toward municipal electrical safety (lineworkers and others) and organizing Lineworker Training (apprenticeship, refresher and associated regional meetings), regional Safety/ OSHA meetings, safety seminars, schedules and researching resource material.
3. Coordinates and schedules work directly with members in a manner representative of AMP's mission, vision and values statements while providing excellent customer service.
4. At the request of the members, conducts accident investigations, prepares reports and assists with OSHA inspections/investigations. Identifies workplace hazards through safety inspections, review of accident reports and first reports of injury, creates Health and Safety Plans for the member's use, and develops associated “Written Safety Plans” and manuals.
5. Maintain knowledge on current safety/PERRP/OSHA topics, rules, and regulations as well as the rules and regulations in the American Public Power Association's safety manual.
6. Ability to assist on a limited basis with hands-on distribution level (15kV or less) operations and maintenance work (field based). Ability to work from a bucket is required; ability to climb is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:
1. High school diploma required; two-year degree in a safety related field is preferred.
2. Electric industry experience with a working knowledge of Safety/ OSHA rules/ regulations and electric utility industry NESC and NFPA 70E experience is required. A qualified journeyman lineworker with 7 years of experience and three (3) years of management or safety related experience is preferred.
3. Previous experience with municipal electric systems is desired.
4. CSP or LSP is preferred.
5. OSHA 500 level Outreach Instructor desired or the ability to obtain certification within 36 months.
6. Must be a certified CPR, First Aid, Forklift Operator and Flagger instructor, or obtain certification within 12 months.
7. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with trainees, employee's management and elected officials.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to effectively utilize word processing software.
9. Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. must on occasion lift equipment that weighs 200 lbs.

Responsibilities:
Prepare the Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned Business Unit projects;
Ensure compliance to all Safety Policies and adopted Standards;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Coordinates and oversees environmental, health & safety policies, procedures, training programs testing and other assessment programs.

Participate in risk reviews and provide regular updates.
Coordinate with Operations on Operational Readiness planning for health and safety.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum 15 years' experience in industrial plant construction, including at least 10 years as a Health & Safety professional.
Hands-on health and safety leadership experience with a proven ability to build a strong safety culture.
Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, or equivalent) preferred.
Strong awareness of operational safety and security issues related to mining; strong personal safety record.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred bachelor's degree in occupational health safety, Environmental Health, Emergency Management or related field in addition to a minimum of 2 years' work experience; or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Required or Preferred Skills, Abilities, Licensures and Certifications:
