ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identify and develop insurance prospects.
* Prequalify insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk.
* Use lead lists to establish contact and schedule appointments.
* Meet with prospective clients and existing clients.
* Maintain knowledge of carrier and wholesaler needs and make recommendations to Account Executive during the submission process.
* Design insurance programs and recommend coverages to clients based on risk characteristics.
* Submit complete and accurate applications and related submission documentation to Account Executive.
* Meet new business production goals and objectives as determined.
* Must conduct phone prospecting, face-to-face prospecting and through social media efforts.
* Conduct sales presentation to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business.
* Explain coverage and exclusions to clients and document explanations in agency management system.
* Educate clients on agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures.
* Provide claim assistance to clients.
* Contact clients for collection of past due premiums, as needed.
* Develop, maintain, and manage a book of business for additional business and referrals.
* Solicit referrals from clients.
* Review existing accounts/policies at least annually to round out accounts and address any changes.
REQUIREMENTS:
* A valid Ohio Property & Casualty license is required
* 3-5 years of experience in sales
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required
* Maintain Errors & Omissions insurance
* Meet state continuing education requirements
* Knowledge of EPIC system a plus
* Ability to work well under deadlines in changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently

Job Summary:
The Commercial Insurance Sales Producer is responsible for selling property and casualty insurance to clients and prospective clients to create and enhance the agency's book of business.
