Accounting Supervisor will lead the Accounts Payable Team and potentially an LDA. This position is also currently the Plant Accountant for our largest domestic facility.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
* Compiles and analyzes complex accounting data to provide management with financial information necessary to make critical business decisions
* Prepares complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
* Works closely with the divisional accounting team to maintain corporate and divisional policies, drive continuous improvement of the financial reporting, and support growth of the business.
* Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains accurate general ledger entries in accordance with accounting principles
* Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
* Participates in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency
* Participates in internal and external audits
* Maintains financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls.
* Leads and executes AP improvement projects
* Maintains and improves our newly developed PowerBI suite of tools
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 2-5+ years of accounting experience including inventory/plant accounting experience
* Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Mainframe Applications.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
