Join our growing Huddle House team that is nationally recognized as one of the best. Competitve Pay and Benefits (PTO, Insurance, Next Day Pay, 401k, Sick Time) This position is accountable for the following areas: take and deliver food and beverage orders to customers in a timely and efficient manner; respect and show courtesy towards customers; exceptional customer service to our customers; proper wear of uniforms and personal hygiene; complete all sidework thoroughly and efficiently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Report to work as scheduled, on time, well-groomed and dressed in proper uniform. Greet, seat and serve guests in a prompt, friendly, professional way. Know all abbreviations of food items. Be familiar with specials and soups of the day prior to starting the shift. Take food and drink orders promptly and accurately. Pickup orders in window and deliver completed meals to correct customers in a timely manner. Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction with food and service, refill drinks, and take any additional orders. Ring up bills and deliver to customers. Check out customers at cash register. Handle customer complaints in a calm, courteous manner. Inform supervisor of any customer complaints or suggestions. Restock service areas. Keep service areas clean and complete all assigned cleaning tasks. Advise Lead Line Server of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on restaurant operating performance. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Respond quickly to sweeping and mopping up messes. Bus tables when busy. Perform any other tasks as assigned by Lead Line Server or Manager. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to operate all electrical or mechanical devices adhering to all safety rules. Ability to maintain proper attitude, professionalism, and teamwork in areas of customer service and restaurant operations. Ability to tolerate cleaning solutions on a regular basis. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience in area of food server desired but not required. The Restaurant Server will oversee the day to day operation of first class customer service and food service in the restaurant. The incumbent will be responsible for properly receiving food orders and conveying food orders to cook staff. Prompt food delivery to the customer as well as cleanliness of the assigned serving section. This person will be expected to provide excellent customer service at all times and will be a strong teammate to our franchise partner. Responsibilities: Report to work on time in a clean, complete, proper uniform with a positive attitude ready to work. Remember a smile is part of the uniform. Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: "Good Morning or Welcome to Huddle House." Review menu with customers when needed, suggestively sell products and take order from each customer at the table Using proper, approved abbreviations submit ticket to the cook's station and deliver food in a timely manner to the customer when food is cooked. Handle money from customers; ring up tickets using the POS system and make proper change. Account for all tickets, credit cards receipts, and make sure that all tickets have been rung up and closed before shift is over. Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift. Using all tools provided by the manager keep the store clean at all times, including but not limited to: bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and walls. Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints. Know the menu, the daily features when applicable, which juices, add-ons and desserts to suggestively sell. Know and follow the Huddle House steps of service with each and every guest to maximize shift sales Practice all rules for safety food handling cash security and all other restaurant policies. Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as detailed or assigned by supervisor Make a difference in food cost by controlling waste and portion control Perform all duties with a sense of urgency Qualifications Excellent customer service skills Ability to communicate effectively with all restaurant staff Some previous restaurant experience preferred

Using all tools provided by the manager keep the store clean at all times, including but not limited to: bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and walls. Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints.
