This individual provides quality care to patients within the practice. This individual coordinates with the SVP of Behavioral Health and other Article 31 professionals in order to uphold the standards of psychiatric interventions in accordance Sun River Health clinical standards of practices and in conjunction with federal, state and local regulations. Position Overview We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate full time Psychiatrist to join our dedicated healthcare team at our Church Avenue and Bedford Avenue Health Centers located in Brooklyn, NY. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of psychiatric conditions, providing medication management, conducting evaluations, and offering therapeutic interventions. This role is vital in promoting mental health and wellness for the underserved population of Church Avenue Health Center, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care in a supportive and culturally competent environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including comprehensive assessments and diagnosis of mental health conditions. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions in coordination with the patient's treatment team. Essential Job Qualifications Minimum Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a focus in Psychiatry Work Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry Minimum Licensure: Valid and active New York State medical license. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to join our busy team in Brooklyn at The Alpha School site. Position Summary CASAC will provide alcoholism and substance abuse counseling services at our Licensed OASAS health center. The CASAC offers comprehensive assessment services to clients who may have substance abuse barriers to employment by applying clinical judgment to determine appropriate treatment needs and levels of care. This includes performing diagnostic assessment, evaluation, intervention, referral, and alcoholism and substance abuse counseling in both individual and group settings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and conduct group and individual counseling on a scheduled basis to caseload clients. Introduce clients to program goals, objectives, rules and regulations, clients' obligations, rights, and program operation. Demonstrate knowledge of group work management techniques and use those techniques appropriately. Demonstrate appropriate treatment planning and clinical intervention. Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate documentation utilizing ECW. Work in part of a collaborative team of licensed clinicians. Provide education and information to the client about alcohol and drug abuse. Maintain and update referral services and resources that may be useful to our client/resident population; make referrals when necessary and appropriate. Prepare legal monthly reports monthly or as needed. Essential Job Qualifications Minimum Education Requirement: High School Equivalency Minimum Work-Related Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an OASAS program Minimum Requirement for Licensure/ Certification/Registration: Valid Full OASAS CASAC certification (completion of 350 hours).
