Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Senior Director HR Administration. Primary Function: Rooted in people- and member-first values, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple HR Center of Excellences (COEs). Responsible for championing a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring HR programs are consistent, compliant, and responsive to the needs of a growing, community-focused organization.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute an HR administrative strategy that supports the credit union's mission, culture, and long-term workforce needs.
* Partner closely with the CHRO and executive team to strengthen HR's operating model and service delivery.
* Ensure COEs operate cohesively and consistently.
* Anticipate workforce trends and help to guide the organization in evolving HR practices that support HR and Organizational strategies.
* Oversee the design, optimization, and governance of HR processes and policies.
* Ensure HR Operations delivers reliable, efficient, and employee-centric services.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and the overall employee experience.
* Act as a key stakeholder in establishing and monitoring HR metrics and support data-informed decision-making.
* Drive change as a change agent and ambassador.
* Lead and develop a high-performing team across multiple HR COEs.
* Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and service - reflecting the cooperative values of the credit union movement.
* Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders across the organization to ensure HR programs are well-integrated and responsive to employee needs.
* Ensure Employee Relations issues are addressed with fairness, empathy, and consistency.
* Oversee the creation, maintenance, and communication of HR policies that support fairness, consistency, and legal compliance. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and credit-union-specific regulatory requirements.
* Lead proactive risk-mitigation strategies related to HR operations, employee relations, and workforce practices. Promote practices that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and organizational health.
* Partner with IT and HR Operations and applicable partners to optimize HR technology platforms and self-service tools.
* Champion the use of data and analytics to improve HR service delivery and workforce insights.
* Support modernization efforts that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.

Primary Function: Manage properties, physical security and daily operations, including after-hour (24 hours per day/7 days per week) calls of the General Services Department. Oversee General Services operating budget, assist with major building projects and Disaster Recovery Plan.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the daily operations of the General Services Department, including after-hour calls (24/7) as they arise. Respond and direct necessary support and resources to an emergency, including but not limited to, fire, first aid, building systems failure, breakdown, power outages, etc. Respond rapidly to any operational issues uncovered during property inspections.
* Maintain all buildings and grounds owned by HVCU, directing staff and vendors and overseeing upkeep of HVAC systems, equipment and supplies. Ensure physical safety and security of all facilities, as well as adherence to all Federal and State Laws (i.e. OSHA, ATM Safety, ADA, etc.).
* Interview, hire, manage and develop department staff. Set staff goals and monitor performance to goals. Conduct regular department and one-on-one meetings to communicate organizational and/or departmental changes, updates and process improvements as well as to collaborate with employees on their on-going development plans.
* Assist the AVP, General Services and Physical Sec Officer with complex projects involving new construction, building renovations and relocations. Ensure adherence to budget and schedule. Attend municipal planning board meetings, as needed.
* Manage vendor relationships. Ensure deadlines are met and quality of service is maintained. Conduct vendor analysis to measure competitiveness and recommend changes or modifications, as necessary, for management review. Negotiate vendor contracts and present recommendations for Management approval.
* Organize and conduct fire and emergency drills at all Credit Union facilities. Provide remedial correction when required.
* Ensure appropriate departmental policies and procedures are developed, maintained and followed.
* Manage tenant relationships and property maintenance for tenant occupied buildings, and foreclosure properties.
* Provide recommendations for departmental expenditures and participate in the annual budget process.
* Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. * Monitor home equity loan queues and ensure adequate

* Participate in developing/enhancing home equity products and procedures.

* Monitor underwriters' approved loan dispositions to ensure adherence to Credit Union issued loan approval authority. Approve loans within Credit Union loan approval Conduct second review of declined home equity applications.
* Lead weekly underwriting meetings to ensure underwriting review consistency and discuss any issues or concerns.
* Perform loan origination system (LOS) update functions for home equity product guidelines, rate changes, document updates and other loan parameter changes. Coordinate testing of updates in LOS prior to production implementation.
* Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. * Follow up with members as necessary to obtain required documentation. Provide assistance as required to the Processing and/or Underwriting areas in order to ensure a quality loan decision.

Responsibilities
* Use working knowledge obtained from the Series 7 & 66 certifications to support new memberships, accounts, loans, and investment services for members. Utilize resources to ensure quality member service.
* Monitor and complete member care calls and assist with loan queues to expand on cross-selling opportunities. Support Contact Center with inbound member calls as necessary.
* Contribute to branch and individual sales and service goals. Maintain a working knowledge of HVCU products, services and systems in order to make recommendations based on member needs.
* Refer members to Financial Consultant for products in excess of assigned limits.
* Support Wealth Management Financial Consultant with informational meetings, lead generation, and education of investment services for both branch staff and members.
* Support the successful implementation of marketing programs and promotions. Create member awareness by discussing the features and benefits of the product/service being promoted and close sales.
* Support overall branch operations. Including but not limited to, providing opening and closing support for the branch, ordering and verifying cash, assisting with cash control tasks, adhering to dual control processes and daily branch reconciliation.
* Accurately perform teller transactions with various negotiable and act as a teller when necessary.
* Adhere to branch safety and security practices and procedures. This includes member confidentiality, securely maintaining cash and negotiable items, and physical security standards.
* Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
