This individual will perform tasks involving commercial construction projects. Essential Functions (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.) Perform a variety of tasks involving concrete including forming, setting, and finishing. Assist in erecting, moving, placing, and striping various formwork. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent/Foreman, Safety Manager, Safety Officer or HR Manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Some knowledge of tilt-up type concrete projects Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions. Ability to work as a team and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds), walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor under adverse field conditions. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in either English and/or Spanish. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Education, Training and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions. Special Requirements: Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to and at all times during employment. Essential Functions: General wood and metal stud framing Build forms for a variety of concrete projects from large tilt walls to custom displays Rough in and backing Door framing and installation Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Math Have knowledge and proven skills in safely operating hand and power tools Some experience supervising 4 or more individuals Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds) Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Be able to read and interpret plans and shop drawings Be willing to work in somewhat extreme weather conditions Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent/Foreman, Safety Manager, Safety Officer or HR Manager. Education, Training and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience Have completed or be willing to complete OSHA 10hr (we are able to provide this training if necessary) Willingness and ability to perform manual work follow verbal and written instructions Special Requirements: Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to and at all times during employment.
