Role Description: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Survey Manager/RPLS at our Houston West office. This role will manage the survey department and oversee project budgets. The successful candidate will be a professional land surveyor registered in the state of Texas with 10 years of experience in various land survey projects. They will have at least 5 years of experience in managing survey projects and survey staff. This is a good opportunity for a survey manager who enjoys managing and motivating survey staff, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring qualify survey projects are delivered.

Duties:
Manage several survey projects simultaneously which includes scheduling, staffing and budgets.
Prepare scope of services and detailed project budget for multiple projects.
Ensure technical quality, scheduling, and profitability of projects.
Act as primary client contacts and build relationships with clients.
Negotiate scope and fees of projects with clients and follow up on billing/collections.
Conduct marketing of surveying and engineering services and business development to obtain additional survey projects.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, plats, legal descriptions and sketches roadway databases, topographic surveys, compute survey data, TxDOT right of way maps, etc.
Ensure QA and QC review is completed.
Manage survey staff and mentor them to develop professionally.
Plan and coordinate work of field survey parties performing design survey and construction staking.

Passion for building client relationships, marketing surveying, and engineering services.
