Role Description: Huitt-Zollars' Phoenix, AZ office has a great opportunity for Licensed Landscape Architect with 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Landscape Architectural program. This role assists and/or leads design teams through all project phases including site analysis, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. This position works directly with discipline leads, landscape architects, engineers, architects, designers and supporting staff through the above phases of project development.

Duties:
Assist designers, landscape architects and senior staff with research, site analysis, conceptual design and construction documentation for a wide range of project types
Conceptual design, schematic design, design development, producing precise and consistent construction drawings, accurate project detailing and cost estimating
Candidate must be able to work within a multi-discipline company and collaborative, project team setting
Support senior staff with site analysis, conceptual design and construction documentation for a wide range of public and private client projects
Produce graphic presentations and build study models
Conduct project construction observations

Qualifications:
Bachelor from an accredited Landscape Architectural program
Licensed Landscape Architect
3+ years of relevant experience
Proficient in AutoCAD, and have entry level skills and/or interest in LandFX, Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3ds Max, Lumion, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and other illustration software

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, environmental planning, natural/biological resource management or related field.
* 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in successfully managing permitting and environmental impact analysis documents, associated technical studies and oversight on high voltage electric transmission lines, renewables and other linear infrastructure.

* Knowledge of Arizona/New Mexico and other state PUC requirements and related experience with wind and solar siting, transmission line routing, and preparing PUC applications. Knowledge of and/or experience with expert witness testimony a plus.

The individual will be coordinating with other disciplines within HZI and well as sub-consultants including Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, etc. throughout the design phase
The individual will also be coordinating with and providing direction to engineers-in-training, CADD technicians, and project support staff to prepare the project documents (drawings and technical specifications) for permitting and bidding
The individual will provide construction administration support for such activities as contractor submittal reviews, contractor requests for information, review of contractor monthly invoices and provide recommendations for invoice approvals, participation in construction progress meetings, occasional site visits as necessary
The individual will also provide support for the development of scopes of work, labor hour estimates, and project scheduling for new projects. On occasion as directed, individual will communicate directly with clients
Key Responsibilities:
Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process.

Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Assists PM on ensuring that quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.
Understands duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current.
Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the PM on assigned project tasks.
Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects.
Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality.
Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish tasks.
Assists PM as needed on work planning. Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Assists PM on ensuring proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects.
Assists PMs as needed on reviewing project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Assists PM in leading successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
5+ years of civil engineering design experience in Public Works
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Proficient in surface water hydrology and hydraulic programs, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel and Word software
Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely
Ability to present in a meeting
Ability to design printed and digital engineering documents
Ability to write clearly to communicate technical issues and design ideas
