You will play a vital role in assisting in clearing railroad derailments by lifting and moving derailed rail cars and locomotives, and performs similar duties on environmental remediation sites, industrial locations, and rail construction. Responsibilities We offer two different schedule options for our General Laborers. YOU choose the schedule that works for your lifestyle. * Weekly rotating shift between 1st and 2nd (1st: 6am - 2pm, 2nd: 2pm - 10pm) or * Straight 3rd shift (3rd: 10pm - 6am) The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the General Laborer may be performing: * Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage. * Set up of the machine including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage. * Using a computer, enter information relating to the production run including job information, measurements etc. * Reports irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to necessary staff * Assists crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine * Checks raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to what is needed for each production run to ensure shortages are prevented * Accurately use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board to ensure a quality product * Troubleshoots machine issues and make recommendations on improving the process * Keeps work area clean and orderly * Other job tasks and projects as assigned We are also looking for General Laborers who are self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team-based system.
