The Ward Clerk helps maintain an organized, resident-centered environment that supports quality care in the long-term care setting. WORK SCHEDULE: The position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. (40 hours per week) JOB DUTIES: Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident charts by completing filing of information into resident computerized health information record. Prepare paperwork for all resident appointments. Schedule resident appointments. Schedule transportation for resident appointments. Transport residents to and from appointments. Answer phone calls, route calls and take messages. Keep inventory of stock items. Stock items into storage rooms. Stock resident rooms with the proper incontinence product. Keep PAR levels. Responsibilities extend to troubleshooting, isolating, and performing the necessary repairs on defective equipment in the network. Perform installation and assist with maintenance functions, Information Technology (IT) services, battery testing carrier systems and assisting with non-regulated equipment. Coordinates with other departments on service installations and updates changes for company records (billing, facility, etc.). Documenting and completing project related forms on all installations and repair services rendered. Monitors alarm systems to maintain equipment, and communicates updates, changes or problems to key contacts and impacted customers. Perform repairs on defective buried cables and may excavate existing copper or fiber cables, as required, to repair damaged or aging facilities. May be assigned to locate / mark telecommunication facilities in the area and set up safety precautions in preparation for digging. b. Perform repairs on aerial cable with the use of ladders or bucket truck and set up safety precautions as needed. c. Coordinate with other technical personnel to diagnose or identify and locate defective equipment. Must be able to read and interpret cable schematics. Required to make repairs or work with other personnel to ensure repairs have been made and network stability is restored. d. Perform repairs in access /transport carrier systems and other department related equipment utilizing specialized test equipment. e. Utilize copper and fiber testing equipment to analyze and identify areas needing upgrades or repairs. f. Battery testing and maintenance in data centers, communication shelters and remote carrier systems. g. Perform basic building maintenance and repairs to include HVAC systems, generators. Coordinate repairs with professional contractor if the extent of repairs is beyond the technical ability required for the position. 3) Paperwork and records: Professionally complete all installation and repair-related forms and reports. File and submit accordingly within assigned timeframes. a.
