Roles and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides expertise and support in Human Resources Administration including policy and procedure, employer/employee relations, HR strategy, regulatory compliance, and employment law. Provides guidance on interpretation of policies and procedures.
Identifies and prioritizes issues of importance, including those priority issues as set for by leadership. Collaborates with department leaders and corporate leaders, as needed.
Communicates instructions, expectations and timelines clearly and concisely.
Translates complex information and provides highly specialized advice in a specific Human Resources discipline.
Develops and maintains tracking system for open positions. Recruits, screens, onboards, and orients new hires according to facility needs and budget.
Develops, and conducts staff development program including training and education. Ensures license and required certifications are appropriate and current.
Designs and implements retention initiatives including rewards and recognition and engagement.
Develops and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale, motivation and engagement. Provides coaching and conflict resolution for managers and employees.
Conducts investigations of employee complaints or incidents.
Administers benefit programs including timely enrollment, processes unemployment and worker's compensation claims and leave benefits.
Leads a team of highly engaged members through hiring, orienting, performance assessment and management, motivating, training, scheduling, and coaching to meet department goals and ensure effective and efficient department operation.
Maintains productivity levels that are aligned with client census, curtailing unnecessary overtime and/or excessive staff work hours.
Manages staff scheduling and maintains an updated plan for contingency staffing.
Maintains accountability expectations for self and staff in all areas of job performance.
Engages staff in quality and safety basics to ensure sustained, measurable compliance.
Identifies staff educational needs and ensures they are addressed with education programs that are attended by staff.
Hold staff accountable for non-compliance and client safety concerns, as well as attendance, following policies, behavior, and adherence to code of conduct.
Manages employee performance through updated job descriptions and competencies, timely evaluations, and merit increases as appropriate.
Manages an equitable and competitive compensation program. Develops and maintains company salary/wage scale.
Enters employee data accurately. Ensures employee files/records are compliant and maintained according to regulatory standards and company policies. Responds to agency surveys.
Identifies data needed for reports and ensures reports accurately capture and present information appropriate to the audience.
May be required to provide onsite coverage for other programs when needed, develops, and executes new programs according to market needs and may provide training, case consultation and Administrator On Call coverage during and after program hours as needed.
May perform Leadership Rounds as assigned to include observation and immediate identification of environment of care, safety, and infection control concerns, as well as real time education of new facility processes.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and implements program policies and procedures that guide the provision of services.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Meets expectations as an exempt employee to work additional hours as required to meet facility needs and project deadlines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related field required OR High School diploma plus related comparable experience.
Four or more years of experience in a progressively responsible HR role required.
Demonstrable knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, employee relations and negotiation, engagement and retention and human resources information systems required.
Experience with regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, CMS, etc.) preferred
Knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with all employees (verbal and written), to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
Two or more years proven supervisory/management experience in HR required, preferably in healthcare.

JOB SUMMARY

What we are looking for:
As an HR Intern with Hillphoenix, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources, learn from HR leaders and gain a practical understanding of the manufacturing industry. At the completion of the internship, the intern will conduct a final presentation on their experience; both what they have learned and how we can sustain those learnings to continuously improve our team member and candidate experience.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
Learning the operations aspects of the facility and how HR supports the business operations.
Assists in coordinating new hire orientations, on-boarding new employees, developing new programs, and increasing employee communications.
Performs process analysis for current HR processes and procedures. Suggests potential alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness.
Supports recruiting process: Updating job descriptions, posting of positions, vetting applications and resumes, organizing interviews with candidates.
Assists in updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details and maintaining current employee files.
Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters.
Assist with other tasks & projects assigned by manager.
What are the basic qualifications?
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar career from an accredited university.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and utilize appropriate tact and integrity.
Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

The Human Resources Trainer & Coordinator provides support in developing and delivering employee training programs and coordinating HR activities and processes. Core Responsibilities:
