The schedule for this role is Monday thru Friday from 6:30am - 3:00pm. Rotational weekend overtime is required and daily overtime may be required based on plant business needs.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Schedule for Success - Ensures that all departmental work crews on all shifts are properly staffed with the required number of employees by preparing the weekly crews and leveling the shifts and departments according to a standard crewing sheet. How will you do this you ask?
* With the assistance of the scheduling software and in accordance with the plants current collective bargaining agreement.
* Schedule employees from daily callbook or for daily overtime as needed to ensure plant is properly staffed.
* Inputs hourly employee qualifications used for weekly and daily crew assignments, extra work lists, and overtime requests into scheduling system.
* Collaboration is Key- You will have the chance to be "hands-on" by partnering with Shift Operations to process production paperwork, process employee leave requests, schedule employee paid-time-off requests, and research grievances and complaints.
* Agility- Working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment is fluid, and your ability to adjust to changes is crucial.
* Engagement Support - Support plant Engagement and Recognition programs and events as needed.
* Leads the engagement committee and facilitates planned and ad-hoc engagement activities to include decorating, caterers, community outreach, and event photo and video repository.
* Assists in the administration of recognition programs and employee merchandise/swag offerings, including service awards and employee of the month.
* Ensures employee communication channels are reviewed and refreshed: bright signs, quarterly newsletter, compliance boards, and employee suggestion box.

Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.

Under the general direction and supervision of the Senior Director, HumanResources, the HumanResources Coordinator provides centralized coordination and administrative support for the College's humanresources governance framework. This position is primarily responsible for managing the lifecycle of HumanResources policies and procedures, administering the College's policy management system, supporting compliance coordination efforts, maintaining HR documentation, and assisting with audit readiness and institutional record-keeping.
This full-time regular position serves as a key internal resource to ensure that HumanResources policies, procedures, and practices are current, consistent, accessible, and aligned with applicable College policies, bargaining agreements, and federal, state, and local employment requirements.
Essential Functions
Policy & Procedure Coordination
* Coordinate and manage the lifecycle of HumanResources policies and procedures, including drafting, review, revision, approval routing, publication, and archival.
* Serve as the primary administrator for the College's policy management system (e.g., DocTract), ensuring accurate version control, routing, approvals, and accessibility.
* Maintain organized and current records of policy approvals, effective dates, revision histories, and supporting documentation.
* Assist in reviewing policies and procedures for consistency with bargaining agreements, College policies, and operational practices.
* Support the Senior Director and Associate Vice President of HumanResources in drafting procedural language, guidance documents, and implementation materials related to HR policies.
Compliance Infrastructure & Documentation
* Maintain compliance calendars and tracking tools to support timely review of policies, procedures, notices, and required postings.
* Coordinate updates to policies, procedures, forms, and templates in response to changes in law, regulation, accreditation requirements, or collective bargaining agreements, as directed.
* Assist with preparation for internal and external audits, records requests, and compliance reviews by organizing documentation and supporting materials.
* Maintain HR-required notices, postings, and reference materials to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Administrative & Operational Support
* Provide administrative and project support to HR leadership for policy initiatives, compliance projects, and governance-related activities.
* Assist with preparation of HR-related reports, summaries, and documentation for College leadership, committees, and the Board of Governors, as assigned.
* Coordinate with HR staff to ensure alignment between documented procedures and day-to-day HR practices.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Title IX & Compliance Support (Deputy Title IX Coordinator)
* Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator, in collaboration with the Title IX Director, supporting the College's compliance with Title IX and related civil rights laws and regulations.
* Assist the Title IX Director with coordination, documentation, and recordkeeping related to Title IX reports, complaints, investigations, resolutions, and training activities.
* Support the development, review, and maintenance of Title IX-related policies, procedures, notices, and guidance materials to ensure alignment with federal regulations and College policy.
* Assist with monitoring compliance timelines, tracking required documentation, and maintaining secure and accurate Title IX records.
* Coordinate with the Title IX Director, HumanResources, Legal Counsel, and other College offices to support consistent application of Title IX procedures across the institution.

SCC BEN Dollars - Eligible Employees: Full-time status. Regular employees with an FTE of 0.75 or greater will be eligible for SCC Ben Dollars. Consults with managers on job- and market-specific data on fair pay rates.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates all aspects of hiring qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers and directors to understand skills and competencies required for a successful hire.
Evaluates recruitment or selection criteria and process to ensure conformance to professional, fair practices, and compliance with all federal and state laws.
Facilitates new hire onboarding, evaluating effectiveness of onboarding program, identify and implement improvements to enhance onboarding experience.
Educates and trains managers and directors on effective methods for interviewing, performance appraisals, coaching and development techniques, and documentation of performance issues.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations, policies, and procedures, including, but not limited to, records management, reporting, FLSA, EEO, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA.
Maintains proper record-keeping practices for all electronic and physical employee personnel files.
Assists in maintaining HR system by managing documents, updating company & employee information and building & running reports.
Ensures data accuracy and completeness through independent review from periodic audit reports.
Administers and provides subject matter expertise in employee benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability, and other programs as implemented.
Administers FMLA and other leave benefits as requested by employees or managers.
Partners with and provides support to management on employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and disciplinary actions.
Provides coaching and conflict resolution to management and employees.
Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employee terminations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, humanresources modeling, leadership training, and management of people and resources.
Knowledge of EEOC and DOL laws, particularly in relation to nonprofit and religious-exempt organizations.
Discretion and ability to keep knowledge gained from work in strict confidence.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse personalities and types of employees.
Self-directed, ability to see an issue and proactively propose solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Active, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church, with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, humanresources, or related field required with an emphasis in humanresources strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in humanresources with recruiting and employee relations experience strongly preferred.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Experience with administration of Paycor performance modules or other HRIS preferred.
Experience with administration of a Learning Management System (LMS) and adult learning best practices preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Routine office environment; ADA-accessible building.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
5% travel to locations within the Archdiocese of Omaha.

DUTIES:
* Processes HR payroll and benefits for approximately 400 employees in corrections facilities.
* Serves as back up for processing payroll and benefits for additional employees in other facilities.

Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: One year of coursework or training in personnel management, business administration, public administration or office/administrative or two years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years demonstrated experience of electronically processing payroll for 24-hour sites with systems such as KRONOS and State of NE Payroll and Financial System or general accounting experience. Experience in interpreting HR policies and labor contracts. Demonstrated hands-on experience applying and interpreting overtime pay rules, premium pay rules, and FLSA. At least one year experience in interpreting, explaining, and processing employee benefits to include multiple leaves and rules, with preference given to State of NE benefits experience. Demonstrated experience in managing HR records and multiple HRIS databases. Online recruiting/applications systems and automated personnel files experience. Extensive experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Other: Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Corrections Training Program.
