Summary of Responsibilities: The Benefits Assistant will serve as a key support role for existing benefits functions. The position is responsible for assisting with administration of employee benefits, providing guidance to employees, education and assistance on all company associated benefits. Essential Job Functions: Assist in the administration of health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) retirement plans. Process monthly billings from insurance carriers including providing cost allocations and reconciliations to accounting Administer Leave of Absences (FMLA/Disability/Paid Family Leave) for all corporate entities as well as union buildings Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
