In this role, you will lead the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain top talent for our dental SaaS technology company. You will partner closely with senior leadership to refine recruitment strategies and processes, while collaborating across teams to strengthen our employer brand and enhance the organization's overall talent density. What You Will Do Leadership: Lead a high-performing talent acquisition team and drive the overall talent acquisition strategy and roadmap. Identify and prioritize critical talent initiatives, ensuring the team is staffed to meet the organization's core needs. Own the growth, development, and performance of the team to consistently achieve business objectives. Recruitment Processes: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned requisitions, including job postings, sourcing, and interviewing. Develop and conduct bi-annual training sessions with hiring managers on process, techniques, policy, compliance and best practices. Candidate Experience: Implement best practices for candidate assessment and selection to create a positive recruitment experience. Employer Branding: Partner with marketing and communications teams to craft compelling recruitment materials and enhance our employer brand. Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process and build partnerships that support diverse talent acquisition. Data & Analytics: Apply data and insights to track recruitment metrics and identify, drive and refine improvements to our hiring processes. Provide regular reports and recommendations based on key data for senior management. Stakeholder Engagement: You will serve as a core talent acquisition (TA) partner to leaders on talent acquisition-related topics by collaborating with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand and deliver on all staffing needs across the employee lifecycle as well as define and deliver on recruitment best practices across the enterprise (US-focused only). Compliance: Ensure compliance with all hiring-related legal and regulatory requirements, including Affirmative Action reporting, and stay informed about industry trends. Recruitment Systems: Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment-related technologies in collaboration with the Chief People Officer, ensuring smooth integration with existing HRIS systems and processes. Maintain relationships and partnerships with all other pre-screening tools and HRIS-related platforms. Travel/Physical Demands Travel typically less than 10%. Qualifications What You Will Have Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition with a minimum of 2 years managing a high-performing talent acquisition team. Experience fostering strong team culture and engagement in a remote environment. Proven success in developing and executing end-to-end recruitment strategies, and in driving high-impact talent programs and process improvements that deliver measurable business results. Experience creating and delivering employer branding strategies to attract and engage top talent. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance issues. Interpret and communicate federal and state employment regulations, policies, and best practices to clients and employees. Administer and manage workers' compensation programs, claims, and relationships with clients and third-party administrators. Ensure occupational safety and health compliance; deliver relevant safety training. Assist in managing affirmative action programs and complete annual EEO-1 reporting. Handle all aspects of employee relations including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and documentation. Lead responses to unemployment claims, provide supporting documentation, submit appeals, and attend hearings as needed. Deliver engaging and compliant training programs to internal and external audiences (e.g., harassment prevention, management development, compliance). Partner with clients to develop job descriptions and conduct job analysis. Create and manage recruiting processes including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling. Support benefits and 401(k) plan administration, changes, and compliance reporting. Process HR-related administrative tasks such as employment verifications, garnishments, court orders, and unemployment paperwork. Maintain organized and secure HR and client personnel files. Collaborate with team members on various projects and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Experience: 5-7 years of comprehensive HR experience, including direct client interaction. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Prior experience supporting HR functions across multiple states strongly preferred. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, etc.). Prior experience with high-volume, multi-client environments preferred. The Director of Human Resources reports to the President & CEO, is a member of the Sr. Team, and supervises a team of 4. This role oversees all human resources functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, policy development, employee relations, performance management, training and HR compliance while supporting managers and employees with compassionate, practical guidance, and clear communication. Essential Duties HR Operations & Administration Manage daily HR operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of employee questions, requests, and support needs. Oversee HRIS systems and ensure accurate payroll and employee data, and related reports. Tracks relevant metrics. Provide compensation and benefit data for budget development and management. Collaborate with Finance on compensation strategies and salary benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity. Attend Board of Director meetings and provide HR presentations and insights as requested. Talent Acquisition & Management Lead, coach, and mentor the HR Team. Oversee and support recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring for a broad range of agency roles. Supervise the administration of employee benefit programs including health, retirement, leave programs, and wellness activities. Build relationships with post-secondary institutions. Employee Relations & Culture Offer excellent customer service to staff and managers by responding to questions, addressing concerns/complaints, and conducting investigations as needed. Champion a culture of respect, inclusiveness, accountability, trauma-informed practices, and wellness. Provide coaching and support to managers on setting employee performance expectations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Policy Implementation & Compliance Revise and implement HR policies and procedures and ensure agency-wide adherence through communication, training, and hands-on guidance. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, ADA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, etc.). Training & Development Support Support the development and implementation of leadership and technical training programs. Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience. Utilize LMS and other tools to support continuous learning for employee growth and organizational capacity. Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, plus a minimum of three years in a senior HR role; or an equivalent combination of education, skills and abilities. 5-8 years of increasingly responsible HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. Experience supervising HR staff preferred. Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR operations, and day-to-day HR processes, including hands-on employee relations and recruitment work. Required Skills and Competencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred). Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Experience with training, onboarding, talent acquisition/recruitment strategy, and compensation and benefits administration. LMS utilization for training and development. Payroll and employee data management. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Resilience and ability to perform under pressure, including in crisis management scenarios.
